Learn more at wpengine.com. We are looking for an Internal Communications Intern to join our team and support messaging for Product teams, and across WP Engine. This is a part-time internship of approximately 20–30 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate a student’s school schedule. As an Internal Communications Intern, you should have a passion for writing, storytelling, and learning how companies work from the inside. You’ll help gather information from teams across WP Engine and turn it into clear, engaging content that keeps our employees informed and connected. This role is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in communications, journalism, writing, or storytelling who is curious, eager to learn, and willing to jump between different topics. You’ll support both our Product and Engineering teams, as well as broader corporate communications initiatives, gaining exposure to different areas of the business along the way. The Day to Day Support the coordination and execution of company town halls and other internal meetingsGather information, materials, and content from speakers and stakeholders across the organizationHelp create and format presentations for internal meetings and eventsSupport meeting technology and help ensure internal events run smoothlyWrite, edit, and help produce internal newsletters and other employee communicationsCollaborate with teams across the organization to gather information and turn it into clear, engaging contentHelp develop stories and content highlighting what’s happening across WP EngineSupport the development of internal web content and pagesAssist with additional internal communications projects and initiatives as needed Your Expertise and Passion Strong writing, editing, and grammar skillsA passion for storytelling and an interest in journalism, communications, or internal communicationsAbility to quickly learn about new topics Creative thinking and knack for turning complex information into easy-to-understand contentStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and topicsStrong communication and relationship-building skills with a willingness to collaborate across different teamsComfortable learning and using new technology, presentation tools, and communication platformsAbility to take direction, incorporate feedback, and adapt as priorities changeCuriosity about how different teams and functions work within an organizationWriting, storytelling, presentation, or other relevant work samples are a plus Hourly Compensation: Up to $28 per hourAt WP Engine, we strive to have the broadest possible view of diversity, going beyond visible differences to include the background, experiences, skills, and perspectives that make each person unique.
