GSMs work closely with engineering, operations, material planning, quality, and design teams to execute product programs from launch through EOL. Candidates in this role should have a genuine interest in market dynamics and emerging technology, and be able to execute sourcing strategies in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.What You'll DoManage supplier relationships and commercial activities including business reviews, RFQs, and roadmap discussions.Support the development of commodity and sourcing strategies by partnering with technical teams to understand business requirements, supply base dynamics, and cost structures. Contribute to strategic direction within your commodity area.Map and develop supply chains based on program requirements, building a thorough working knowledge of the Sonos supply chain at the component and supplier level to ensure continuity and resilience.Ensure continuity of supply. Coordinate short-term and long-term capacity planning with suppliers, and partner with the material planning team to schedule supply that meets Sonos component demand.Manage and maintain sourcing data attributes for your commodity space, including pricing, AVL, lead times, and supply chain parameters — ensuring data accuracy and integrity across systems in collaboration with the Business Analytics team. Collaborate with Product Design and Engineering teams to review initial part and module specifications, recommend sources, and provide input to support technical decisions in early program phases.Manage multiple sourcing projects in parallel, independently assessing and adjusting interdependent workstreams within your commodity specialization.Identify and assess technical and business risks, analyze relevant data, and develop mitigation plans and alternatives — escalating to senior team members on novel or highly complex situations.Support the management of development builds, materials, and supply risk to execute successful ramp during NPI programs.Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Material Planning, and Finance — adapting communication style to different audiences and building relationships with senior internal and external partners.What You'll NeedBasic QualificationsBS/BA degree5 years of work experience in a sourcing or related fieldStrong negotiation skills, with the ability to adapt approach across different supplier relationships and business contextsAbility to collaborate with and persuade cross-functional teams and senior stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to apply analytical techniques to problem solving; comfortable independently managing complex, interdependent processesResults-oriented with the ability to exercise sound judgment within established guidelines and escalate appropriatelyEffective communicator who adapts style to diverse audiences; comfortable engaging senior internal and external partners on complex mattersAn ability to balance business and technical objectives in decision makingExcellent English communication and presentation skillsAbility to effectively work in a multicultural global business environmentPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Supply Chain ManagementTravel within China domestic as well as internationally, up to 20% of the timeExperience in consumer electronics is a plusFamiliarity with systems including Tableau, G Suite, Arena, MRP, and SAPYour profile will be reviewed and you'll hear from us once we have an update.
