Echodyne is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to join our fast-growing team.  ROLE OVERVIEW Echodyne is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to design, develop, build, and optimize manufacturing test systems and procedures that ensure product quality and production efficiency.   This position is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about technology, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Working closely with design engineering, quality, IT, and production teams, the Sr Manufacturing Test Development Engineer will lead the development of new test systems used in a production environment, improve process robustness and efficiency to scale Echodyne’s manufacturing capabilities. RESPONSIBILITIES Define radar manufacturing test requirements and test station design requirements Design, implement, and maintain test hardware and software for the production line Support test systems throughout the full lifecycle of development, implementation, scaling, and refinement Work with manufacturing engineers, software engineers, quality engineers, design engineers, and IT to integrate and support test systems Plan and execute evaluations of new or updated test processes to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with requirements Select, evaluate and integrate test instrumentation Monitor and analyze test data to drive continuous improvement in yield, throughput, and quality Create documentation and provide training to production staff on test procedures and tools Work with contract manufacturer partners to create, implement, and support test processes Optimize test strategy for efficacy, efficiency and return of investment REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Proficiency with RF/microwave measurement methods and instruments (e.g., VNA/PNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters), with the ability to learn and adapt to advanced RF/microwave technologies Programming proficiency in Python (MATLAB familiarity a plus) Ability to design and deploy complete automated test systems Ability to interpret and apply assembly drawings, schematics, mechanical models, and technical documentation Knowledge of computer/instrument communication protocols Able to develop PCBA designs used in automated test systems Experience developing test fixtures Hands-on experience with test system acceptance procedures including repeatability and reproducibility of measurement systems Demonstrated ability to resolve technical issues in a timely manner Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE  (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)   Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) input and influence during product development Experience with SolidWorks, Altium and/or other industry CAD tools Ability to work with 3D printers for prototyping, tooling, and production support. Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Proficiency in statistical techniques and analytical problem-solving Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners Experience using data analysis tools like Minitab or JMP QUALIFICATIONS BS in electrical, electronic, mechanical, test engineering or related technical discipline 10 or more years of experience in a Test Engineering role developing manufacturing test solutions Echodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.  Therefore, we will ask you as part of the application process to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or green card holder, or have asylum/refugee status in the U.S.  WHAT WE OFFER This is an exempt role.
