The department's primary focus is on delivering strategic insights, solutions, and transformative practices that align with business goals to enhance efficiency, agility, and resilience across the supply chain. Scope – Sr Director, Strategic Advisory (Retail Softlines) The Sr Director, Strategic Advisory is a member of the Supply Chain Advisory team and leads a high-performing advisory practice that partners with strategic customers to shape long-term value realization, drive executive alignment, and accelerate commercial outcomes. This leader combines Retail industry expertise, consultative strategy, and cross-functional execution to deliver transformational roadmaps, advisory services, and measurable business impact across our portfolio.What you'll do:Lead and oversee the delivery of high‑impact strategic supply chain advisory engagements, including assessments, maturity evaluations, roadmap development, and transformation planningShape and evolve Strategic Services offerings for Retail customers to align with market trends, customer needs, and emerging capabilities across the organizationLead and coach a team of Strategic Advisors in the Retail verticalDefine and lead go‑to‑market strategies and innovation agendas across targeted industry verticalsProvide executive leadership and oversight to cross‑functional teams designing, launching, and optimizing industry‑specific solutionsPartner with senior internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of advisory strategy, solution direction, and organizational objectivesServe as a senior advisor to client executive leadership, guiding complex decision‑making and long‑term transformation initiativesIdentify emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and new market opportunities to inform advisory strategy and future offeringsBuild, maintain, and expand executive‑level client relationships, identifying and supporting new business opportunitiesProvide thought leadership and subject matter expertise to internal teams, customers, and external forumsEnsure consistent delivery of high‑quality advisory outcomes, client satisfaction, and measurable business valueWhat we are looking for:12+ years of experience in management consulting, strategic advisory, strategic planning, or related leadership rolesProven track record of leading and delivering complex, large‑scale strategic initiatives and transformation programsDemonstrated ability to operate as a trusted advisor to executive and C‑level stakeholdersStrong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills with experience leading senior, cross‑functional teamsStrong understanding of business operations, end‑to‑end supply chain processes, and enterprise transformationAbility to think strategically, translate vision into execution, and drive sustained resultsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level presentationsPreferred Qualifications:Deep industry and sub‑industry expertise within supply chain, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunitiesProven line management experience - ideally in advisory / consulting organizationsExperience developing and scaling advisory or professional services offerings across multiple industry verticalsDemonstrated ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategic decisions, roadmaps, and investment prioritiesExpertise in guiding customers through best‑practice solution deployments and challenging assumptions early in the engagement lifecycleStrong storytelling and executive presentation skills, including the ability to independently demo solutions and link strategy to business outcomesExperience designing, launching, and optimizing industry‑specific solutions and go‑to‑market strategiesComfortable representing the organization in executive forums, industry events, and high‑impact customer environmentsBachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field*LI-AD1#LI-remote-------------------------------------------The annual salary range for this position is $169,000 - $200,000, plus a variable component.The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.  Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.  In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.At Blue Yonder, we care about the wellbeing of our employees and those most important to them.
