Collaborate with JDM partners. Lead and mentor junior electrical engineers and JDM electrical engineers in power and analog designWhat You’ll NeedBasic QualificationsAdvanced degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of related industry experience, or BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years direct experience also consideredProficient in English in verbal and written communicationHands-on experience with complete ownership of analog and power electronics design in high volume productsThorough understanding of efficient power designs including detailed analysis of circuit and magnetics specificationKnowledge of safety and compliance standards for consumer electronic devicesStrong analytical skills, trouble-shooting skills, and system level knowledgeProficiency in creating and editing schematic and layout filesProven leadership skills including schedule management and mentoring/motivating/leading project team membersHaving worked across disciplines with mechanical, radio, acoustics, compliance, system SW, and other engineering teams including ID, UX, packaging, manufacturing, sourcing et al Technically inquisitive – must be able to take on new technical challenges and learn new technical skills on-the-fly and apply the knowledge to solve the issue at handAbility to develop and execute design validation testing plansWell-developed reporting and communication skills, including the ability to explain and summarize complicated issuesAbility to use simulation/analysis tools and best engineering judgment to resolve issuesStrong sense of ownership, able to design as well as to explain design decisions to others Ability to work with people with different culture background and/or in different time zonesYou do not have to be an expert in everything, but you are excited by challenges and take initiative to learn and collaborate with others. Preferred QualificationsWorking experience with EEs, MEs, layout engineers, compliance, and program management from JDM partnersExperience in embedded circuit design (CPU, Memory, Ethernet, USB, HDMI, Digital audio, etc.)Experience using audio test equipment like AP and EMC test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers)Design experience with integration of Lithium Ion battery management and wired/wireless charging systems. We apply geographic pay differentials based on the cost of labor in the market. Employees in high-cost locations may be compensated at the upper end of the range, while those in medium or low cost markets may be compensated at the lower end of the range.
