We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic about delivering innovative solutions aimed at providing a Device Independent experience.  The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of software development for desktop and web applications.FlexSim is a discrete event manufacturing simulation software developed by FlexSim Software Products, Inc. FlexSim is 3D simulation software that models, simulates, predicts, and visualizes business systems in a variety of industries: manufacturing, material handling, healthcare, warehousing, mining, logistics, and more. It uses an OpenGL environment to realize real-time 3D rendering and it is declared to be the only simulation software that incorporates a C++ IDE and compiler in the graphic modelling environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain high-performance native software components using modern C++Contribute to the core FlexSim simulation engine, modeling frameworks, and platform architectureDevelop scalable, maintainable, and efficient software using object-oriented design principles and modern C++ best practicesBuild and enhance simulation, visualization, interoperability, and manufacturing-focused capabilitiesDesign and implement robust APIs, SDKs, extensibility frameworks, and system integrationsTroubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving performance, memory management, threading, and system behaviorAnalyze and optimize CPU utilization, memory consumption, scalability, and application responsivenessParticipate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and code reviewsCollaborate with Product Management, UX, QA, and globally distributed engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutionsContribute to automated testing, release engineering, CI/CD, and software quality initiativesMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field3+ years of industry experience building and delivering robust, performant, and maintainable commercial applicationsStrong professional experience developing software in C++Deep understanding of native application development and systems-level software engineeringStrong knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principlesExperience with modern C++ standards (C++14/17/20)Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using native development tools and techniquesExperience working with multi-threaded, event-driven, and performance-critical applicationsFamiliarity with software architecture, design patterns, and large-scale codebasesAbility to analyze and solve complex technical challenges with a strong focus on quality and maintainabilityPreferred QualificationsExperience developing commercial desktop applications or engineering software productsFamiliarity with CAD, simulation, manufacturing, digital twins, or visualization technologiesExperience with SDK development, APIs, plugins, and extensibility frameworksKnowledge of graphics, geometry, rendering, or 3D application developmentExperience with databases, cloud-connected services, and distributed systemsExposure to DevOps, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices #LI-SB4#LI-HybridLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
