Fusion 360 is on a multi-year journey to transform Design-to-Manufacture through converged workflows and cloud-connected technology.This Software Engineer role is on the Fremont Data Model team within PDMS Design — the group responsible for how Fusion design data is stored, linked, versioned, saved, and synchronized across desktop and cloud. You will join a Kraków-based Scrum team being built to extend Fusion’s collaborative assembly and data-stability capabilities, working closely with global teams worldwide.In practice, you will help keep Fusion’s document and reference model reliable at scale — for customers working with large assemblies and multi-user collaboration.This position is a hybrid opportunity in Kraków or remote within Poland with occasional visiting the office in Kraków.What you’ll work onImplement and fix features in Fusion’s data model layerDevelop high-quality, secure C++ in a large production codebaseDebug complex, cross-document workflows using standard IDE debuggers; investigate regressions and customer issues with guidance from senior engineersTest changes locally and support impact analysis; contribute to unit tests and test automation where applicableParticipate in Agile ceremonies (2-week sprints): stand-ups, planning, reviews, retrosDocument changes, keep Jira tasks updated, and contribute to design discussions with mentor supportJob Responsibilities:Implementation & DevelopmentComplete well-defined development tasks independently; assist senior developers on larger featuresWrite code that conforms to team coding standards, design specs, and security practicesApply common design patterns and techniques with guidance when neededDebugging & testingMaintain, troubleshoot, and debug code using standard IDEsTake on issue reports, help identify root causes, and implement fixes with guidanceValidate impacted scenarios before merge; support QA with impact analysisAutomation & documentationDevelop and maintain unit tests; grow skills in test automationDocument code and changes; create design notes with senior developer guidanceKeep Jira tasks and PRs clear and traceableAgile & collaborationWork on a truly Agile team with regular sprint cadenceCommunicate progress, blockers, and risks clearly in daily standupsCollaborate with QA, product, and engineers across global sites (India, US, Europe)Customer focusBuild empathy for real design workflowsConsider customer impact when implementing fixes and small featuresGrowthPursue training and tasks outside your comfort zone with a growth mindsetEngage other teams when problems span data model, cloud, or platform boundariesMinimum qualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience2–4 yearsof professional software development experienceStrong proficiency in C++ and solid computer science fundamentals (data structures, OOP, design patterns)Experience with Git, code review, and CI/CD in a team environmentExperience with Agile/ScrumStrong English communication (written and verbal)Ability to work effectively in adistributed, global teamPreferred qualificationsExperience debugging a large, existing C++ applicationExposure to CAD, PLM, or document/reference-based software (assemblies, versioning, check-in/out, linked files)Experience with Python or JavaScript for tooling or test supportFamiliarity with cloud-backed desktop applicationsExperience with Qt or similar UI/framework libraries used in desktop appsLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
