These experiences shape how the developer community perceives and adopts Adobe technology, so we hold ourselves to a high standard for UI quality, performance, and accessibility.We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help define and evolve the frontend foundation for ADP’s developer-facing surfaces. You will own frontend architecture for scalable, extensible web experiences, set the standards that keep our surfaces consistent and performant, and mentor other engineers along the way. You will work with a collaborative team and take features from architecture through production.What You’ll DoDefine and evolve the frontend architecture for ADP’s developer-facing surfaces, including the Developer Website, Developer Console, and Developer DistributionBuild and maintain high-quality, scalable React features, translating complex product and design requirements into intuitive, performant, and accessible user interfacesBuild reusable components, libraries, and patterns that create consistency across ADP surfaces, aligned with Adobe’s Spectrum design systemDrive adoption of modern frontend standards across the team, including state management, modular architecture, and build toolingLead design and code reviews, raising the bar for code quality, testing, and maintainabilityInvestigate and resolve UI performance and scalability issues across browsers and devices in complex production environmentsCollaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams across ADP to deliver cohesive end-to-end experiencesSupport the growth of engineers on the team through mentorship and collaborative learningWhat You Need To Succeed7-10 years of frontend or full-stack development experience with a strong frontend focusDeep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, and modern React (hooks, context, performance optimization)Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, including reusable component design and state management patternsExperience building large-scale, high-performance web applicationsSolid command of HTML, CSS, and responsive, accessible web development (WCAG)Proficiency with frontend build tooling (Webpack, Vite, Babel, npm/yarn) and GitExperience integrating frontend applications with backend services via APIs (REST/GraphQL)Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experienceNice to HaveBackend or full-stack experience with Node.js or Java, and comfort working with cloud services or serverless runtimesExperience with Adobe’s React Spectrum design system or similar component library ecosystemsFamiliarity with extensibility frameworks, plugins, or SDK developmentExposure to micro-frontend architecturesExperience with testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, Cypress)Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practicesAwareness of internationalization (i18n) and localization challenges in frontend developmentExperience on a platform or ecosystem team serving external developersWhy You’ll Enjoy Working With UsBuild the developer surfaces that connect Adobe’s products to the broader developer worldWork on a focused team with end-to-end ownership of what you shipInclusive, collaborative culture.
