Back to jobs New Senior TPM, Merchandising United States & Canada Apply Who We Are
Babylist is the leading platform for expecting and new families. More than 10 million people shop with Babylist every year, making it the go-to destination for seamless purchasing, guidance, and expert recommendations. As a modern, AI-forward tech company, Babylist has expanded from a universal registry into a full ecosystem — the Babylist Shop, Babylist Health, Babylist Money, NYC and LA showrooms, branded content, and more — generating $750M in revenue in 2025. Building the generational brand in baby, Babylist is reshaping the $235B kids and baby market and helping parents feel confident, connected, and cared for at every step.
Our Ways of Working
Babylist is remote-first with team members across the U.S. and Canada who move fast, think smart, and use AI as part of how they work every day — not as an experiment, as an expectation. We come together twice a year to build the relationships behind the work, and we hire people who are genuinely excited about what's possible and prove it through how they show up.
What the Role Is
Babylist's merchandising business is one of the highest-leverage, most complex parts of the company — and it's never had a dedicated technology partner. The Merchandising Operations team manages the product data, vendor relationships, and owned brands manufacturing workflows that power Babylist's shop, and they've been doing it largely on manual processes and Google Sheets that have hit their limits. As a Senior Technical Product Manager for Merchandising Operations , you will be the first dedicated technical partner for this team — identifying, designing, and deploying the technology solutions that will help scale Babylist from a $750M to a $2B business over the next three years.
This role will report to the Director of Technical Product, and will play a central role in defining and executing an ambitious technology transformation for Babylist's merchandising and owned brands operations.
Who You Are
You're an experienced Product Manager, with 5+ years of experience in an agile development environment
You have experience building internal tools or operational technology — you understand that technology must interact with complex human processes, not just optimize for ideal-state inputs
You are a builder: you've independently prototyped, shipped, or deployed solutions — whether professionally or personally — and you get excited about identifying a problem and finding a way to solve it yourself
You have worked in highly cross-functional roles, managing the needs of various technical and non-technical stakeholders when executing projects
You have experience with systems integration, data flow, APIs, and automation of manual processes, and you can discuss system architecture with technical counterparts
You are able to work with ambiguity and define executable projects from initially unclear priorities — particularly in greenfield or under-invested areas
You are highly analytical, leveraging data and process improvement techniques to objectively define priorities and action items
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and can express ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
You're genuinely excited about what AI can do - not just as a concept, but as something you want to get your hands on. At Babylist, every team uses AI daily, and we're looking for people who lean in.
How You Will Make An Impact
Drive the full product lifecycle for your roadmap — discovery, definition and validation, development, launch, and iteration — across the Merchandising and Owned Brands teams
Lead the evaluation and build/buy decision for a Product Information Management (PIM) system to centralize product data, descriptions, images, and specs across channels
Partner with the Owned Brands team to design and deploy technology solutions that replace manual, Google Sheets-based manufacturing and production workflows
Identify greenfield opportunities by embedding with the Merchandising and Owned Brands teams, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders to deeply understand their processes and pain points
Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to prioritize requests across many stakeholders, including Merchandising Operations, Owned Brands, and Data
Define meaningful metrics for your space, work with data and engineering teams to surface them, and communicate their impact to the rest of the organization
Build solutions that account for the realities of working with external vendors who cannot be mandated to standardize their processes — designing for the world as it is, not the world as you'd like it to be
Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, prototyping, and delivery wherever possible
Why This Role
Greenfield opportunity — be the first technical partner to a nearly billion-dollar business unit that has never had dedicated tech support; the scope is yours to define
Builder's playground — this role is explicitly looking for someone who wants to build, not just manage; you'll have room to prototype, experiment, and ship
AI opportunity — get hands-on experience applying AI tools to real operational problems at a company actively investing in this space
Direct business impact — your work will directly enable Babylist's growth trajectory; the merchandising team's success is tied to yours
Executive visibility — direct exposure to senior leadership and a high-visibility mandate

Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
