The role provides hands-on exposure to security operations, risk management, and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, AI-driven security capabilities, and basic offensive security practices. The intern assists in monitoring security controls, identifying threats, and supporting compliance and incident response activities in a real-world environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in monitoring security alerts (e.g., SIEM, EDR, email security tools)Support incident detection and basic investigationAssist in vulnerability assessments and remediation trackingSupport security audits, risk assessments, and compliance activitiesHelp review and document security policies, procedures, and controlsParticipate in user access reviews and identity management processesAssist in phishing simulations and security awareness programsSupport basic security testing activities (e.g., scanning, validating findings)Maintain security documentation, dashboards, and reportsLearning ExposureSecurity tools (SIEM, EDR, IAM, DLP)Cyber threats (phishing, BEC, malware, account compromise)Frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)Cloud security fundamentals (AWS, Azure, GCP)AI/ML applications in cybersecurity (e.g., threat detection, automation, anomaly detection)Basic offensive security concepts (e.g., vulnerability scanning, penetration testing fundamentals, attack techniques)Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) practicesPre-Requisites :Required Skills / QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fieldBasic understanding of: Networking (TCP/IP, firewalls) Security principles and best practicesFamiliarity with: Windows and/or Linux environments Basic scripting (Python, Bash) is a plusStrong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skillsAdded Advantage (Preferred)Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic security concepts (IAM, logging, network security)Exposure to AI/ML concepts or AI-driven security tools, such as threat detection, automation, or behavioral analyticsUnderstanding of offensive security fundamentals, including: Vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS) Basic penetration testing concepts Common attack techniques (e.g., OWASP Top 10, phishing, privilege escalation)Awareness of modern cybersecurity trends, including cloud-native security and evolving threat landscapesSoft SkillsStrong attention to detailCuriosity and willingness to learnGood communication skillsHigh level of integrity and confidentiality awarenessRazer is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
