We are looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Services team! You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Purview capabilities across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to support data governance, compliance, and security initiatives. This role partners with IT, Security, Legal, and business stakeholders to identify, classify, protect, and monitor organizational data.You will work independently on highly complex tasks related to diverse customer hardware, software, and access issues. You will also help develop processes and strategies to improve technical customer support and lead critical projects with advanced technical knowledge.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments7+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 security, compliance, or data governance rolesAt least 4 years of experience with Microsoft Purview including compliance portal, DLP, sensitivity labeling, retention, and investigationsStrong understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworksBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)It would be great if you also had . . .Experience with PowerShell and automation for Microsoft 365 administrationExperience with eDiscovery (Purview) and audit logsKnowledge of Insider Risk Management and Communication ComplianceExposure to Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, and broader M365 security stackExperience supporting Copilot / AI governance initiativesExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as IT, Security, and LegalWhat will you be doing in this role?Design and implement Microsoft Purview solutions, including data classification, sensitivity labeling, and information protection policiesConfigure and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk, and Data Lifecycle Management policies across Microsoft 365Support data discovery and classification across SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and ExchangeAdminister Purview Data Security Investigations (DSI) and support compliance investigations using analytics and reporting toolsMonitor and optimize Purview configurations, delivering reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement recommendationsAbout the TeamThe IT Security & Compliance team is focused on safeguarding organizational data and enabling secure collaboration across the enterprise. The team partners closely with infrastructure, application development, legal, and risk management teams to ensure alignment on security and compliance initiatives. This team is responsible for managing Microsoft 365 security tools, data governance programs, and regulatory compliance initiatives, while supporting critical investigations and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.Hours of WorkFull-time permanent position primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed. Hybrid position working 2–3 days/week on-site.
