This leader builds enablement frameworks, tooling, training, and governance that increase security maturity, reduce operational friction, and measurably improve trust outcomes (secure-by-design products, resilient operations, and compliant controls). The role requires a mix of strategic planning, program leadership, cross-functional stakeholder engagement, and hands-on experience with modern security practices (zero trust, identity and access, cloud security, DevSecOps).What You’ll Be Doing:Executive CommunicationsServe as the primary communications strategist and trusted advisor to the VP of Trust, CSO, and senior security leaders — owning the narrative framework and editorial standards for the Security organizationDevelop high-impact materials for Board of Directors, senior leadership, and executive forums — including security briefings, governance updates, strategic narratives, and speaker notesTranslate complex security strategy, risk posture, and performance data into clear, accurate, and compelling narratives for non-technical senior audiencesBuild and manage the security communications calendar, establishing proactive, predictable communication rhythms that replace reactive messaging with strategic planningPartner with Corporate Communications, Legal, and Trust stakeholders to ensure messaging is accurate, timely, and aligned during both steady-state operations and high-impact eventsSupport incident-related communications by providing coordinated, confidence-preserving executive guidance — complementing the team's existing reactive incident communications functionCustomer & External Trust CommunicationsDevelop and manage flagship transparency and trust assets for customers and external stakeholders — including an annual security report and executive-level customer presentations — translating security performance data into relevant, confidence-building insightsCreate proactive customer-facing security communications including trust updates, security posture summaries, and capability announcementsPartner with sales, customer success, and Trust teams to develop security content that supports customer conversations, enterprise engagements, and external inquiriesCollaborate with Security Operations, Engineering, Risk, and GRC teams to ensure external content accurately reflects the organization's real-world security posture and controlsSafeguard customer confidence by ensuring all external communications are accurate, appropriately scoped, and aligned with legal and compliance requirementsSecurity Engagement & AwarenessDefine and lead the enterprise security enablement and awareness strategy, aligned to trust, risk, and business prioritiesDevelop programs that improve associate understanding of security risks, responsibilities, and expected behaviorsPosition security as a foundational element of customer trust, transparency, and operational excellenceLead the creation of security awareness campaigns, content, and resources that are engaging, practical, and audience-appropriate for technical and non-technical associatesTranslate complex security and risk topics into clear, human-centered language accessible to all levels of the organizationIntroduce and evolve channels, tools, and processes that increase the reach, relevance, and effectiveness of security messaging across a global workforceCollaborate closely with Security Operations, Engineering, Risk, GRC, and Trust teams to ensure awareness efforts reflect real-world threats, controls, and customer expectationsPartner with Associate Success and Learning teams to embed security awareness into broader culture, onboarding, and leadership programsOversee phishing simulation programs as a key tool for measuring and improving associate security behaviors, using results to inform awareness strategy and content prioritiesSupport incident-related communications by enabling clear, calm, and coordinated associate guidance when neededMeasurement & Continuous ImprovementDefine success metrics for communications, engagement, and awareness programs (e.g., adoption, comprehension, behavior change, content quality) and establish a regular reporting cadence Analyze performance data and audience feedback to refine content, cadence, and delivery approaches across all communication streamsContinuously improve program efficiency, quality, and time-to-value through simplification, modernization, and data-driven decision-makingManage program budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring efficient resource allocation and on-time deliveryWhat We’re Looking For:Required Qualifications12+ years of experience in communications, executive communications, or strategic program roles within large, complex organizationsDemonstrated experience supporting security, technology, or risk-focused organizationsProven ability to advise senior leaders and influence across organizational boundariesExceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytellingExperience designing programs that drive engagement, understanding, and behavior change at scaleTrack record of producing external and customer-facing communications content that builds organizational trust and credibilityBachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Computer Science, or related fieldPreferred QualificationsExperience leading security communications or awareness programs in a global, customer-facing enterpriseBackground producing flagship external content assets such as annual security reports or executive-level customer presentationsBackground partnering with Legal, Corporate Communications, HR, and Trust functionsFamiliarity with metrics-driven program management and continuous improvementExperience using AI tools to drive communications production efficiency and quality at scaleComfort operating in high-visibility or high-pressure situations, including security incidents or trust-impacting events#LI-MH1-------------------------------------------The annual salary range for this position is $186,298.22 - $241,701.77The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.
