Lead Software Engineer, Ruby on Rails

We are looking for Lead Software Engineer to join our team developing web-based technology platform, Derwent Sequence Base - an essential resource for searching, analyzing and exploring the world's patented biological sequences used by scientists and IP professionals.­About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishmentsMinimum 5 years of experience as a software engineer with a strong focus on developing modular, efficient, and maintainable code, including 5 years of experience working with Ruby on Rails, 2 years of experience writing and executing unit tests and 2 years of experience working with Elasticsearch and PostgresBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field and/or equivalent experienceProficiency in EnglishIt would be great if you also had…Experience working with Docker containers and containerized applicationsHands‑on experience with AWS and cloud‑based servicesExposure to microservices architectures and RESTful APIsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesExperience or interest in bioinformatics, biological data processing, or large‑scale scientific datasetsUnderstanding of patents, intellectual propertyWhat will you be doing in this role?
