Our Ways of Working
Our Fulfillment Center team works on-site in Commercial Point, OH to support our physical operations and plays a vital role in delivering the Babylist experience. This role operates on a 4/10 schedule on the Night Shift - Monday through Thursday from 7:30pm - 6:00am
What the Role Is
As a Fulfillment Operations Supervisor,Night Shift, you’ll lead the overnight operation that keeps orders moving out the door accurately and on time. You’ll own shift performance across all functional areas—pick, pack, replenishment, and outbound—stepping in wherever the business needs you most. This role matters because night shift is where consistency is built; what your team accomplishes sets up the entire building for the next day.
Your day-to-day is hands-on and floor-driven. You’ll start each shift aligning on volume, labor, and priorities, then spend most of your time moving between areas—monitoring flow in the WMS, coaching leads, and jumping into problems as they happen. You’ll make real-time calls on staffing, order prioritization, and issue resolution while partnering with inventory, inbound, and the next shift to ensure clean handoffs. Some nights run exactly to plan; others require quick adjustments to keep work moving without adding risk.
This is not a role where you stay in one lane or manage from a desk. If you prefer a clearly defined functional area, predictable workflows, or heavy support from adjacent teams, this will feel uncomfortable. You’re stepping into a role that requires range—leading across multiple workflows, making decisions with incomplete information, and staying close to the work for the full shift.
Who You Are
3–5 years in fulfillment, warehouse, or distribution operations, with at least 2+ years directly supervising hourly teams of 25–60 associates per shift across multiple workflow areas
Experience leading end-to-end shift operations (not a single function) —comfortable moving between pick, pack, replenishment, and outbound as volume shifts
Hands-on WMS experience (3+ years) —able to track queues, release work, monitor backlog, and troubleshoot issues independently during live operations
Experience owning shift-level KPIs including units per hour (UPH), order accuracy, on-time ship rate, and safety metrics in high-volume environments (10K+ units/day)
Proven ability to lead through frontline leaders (team leads or area leads) , including coaching, accountability, and running structured shift huddles
Comfortable using RF scanners and warehouse systems daily , and training associates on standard work and process adherence
Able to work on your feet for 10.5-hour shifts in a warehouse environment , including walking 5–8+ miles per shift and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
Available to work Night Shift (Monday–Thursday, 7:30pm–6:00am) consistently, maintaining performance and team engagement overnight
Comfortable and enthusiastic about working in an AI-forward environment where AI tools are part of daily operations — you embrace technology to enhance your work while keeping people at the center
How You Will Make An Impact
Own execution across all outbound workflows during night shift, ensuring daily volume is processed accurately and on time regardless of where demand shifts
Lead shift kickoff and floor management, aligning staffing and priorities to match real-time volume and operational needs
Monitor WMS queues and floor conditions continuously, reallocating labor to prevent bottlenecks and maintain throughput targets
Develop and coach team leads to independently run their areas, improving consistency across functions and reducing reliance on escalation
Identify breakdowns in workflow (inventory gaps, process friction, staffing imbalances) and implement immediate fixes to keep work moving
Drive performance against productivity and quality targets by reinforcing standard work and holding the team accountable to output expectations
Maintain a safe operation by actively auditing behaviors, addressing risks in real time, and reinforcing safety standards across all areas
Partner with upstream and downstream teams to resolve issues that impact order flow and ensure smooth transition between shifts
Create clear, actionable shift handoffs that highlight performance, risks, and priorities so the next shift can execute without disruption
Physical Requirements
While this role involves leadership and oversight responsibilities, it also requires regular physical presence and activity on the fulfillment floor. Physical expectations include:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours per shift) with scheduled breaks
Ability to walk the floor extensively, averaging 10,000+ steps per day
Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift
Comfort with pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and performing repetitive motions as needed to support team operations

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
