Proofpoint.The RoleThe Program Manager Intern role sits within Tessian, an engineering and product business unit at Proofpoint. The Tessian business unit is a fast-moving team, building and refining products that are central to the Proofpoint strategy. We need our operational processes to evolve just as quickly, to keep up with the needs of the business unit.As as intern, you'll play a key role in improving how our teams operate day-to-day. You'll work closely with the business unit leadership, gain deep exposure to a high-performing engineering organization, and drive critical initiatives.This role will change and grow rapidly to keep pace with the needs of the business unit; this is a brilliant opportunity to make a tangible impact while building the skills and experience to develop a career in operations or program management.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the internal communications of the business unitManage and coordinate existing communications, for example monthly all hands meetings and newslettersDevelop our internal communications strategy to further drive clarity, alignment, and engagementSupport the business unit in planning and executing on our goalsLead the use of tools such as Jira and Confluence to ensure a single source of truthTrack key initiatives and help maintain visibility and accountabilityFacilitate and develop effective planning processesSupport operational effectivenessBuild relationships across the business unit to understand challenges and unlock supportWork with Finance, Procurement and Talent teams to ensure alignmentKey SkillsWe’re looking for someone who is:A team player with a human-first mindset - considerate, reliable, and collaborativeA proactive, curious learner who’s eager to understand and solve problemsA confident communicator and relationship builderVery organized with a strong sense of ownershipAble to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple workstreamsComfortable handling and interpreting basic data using Excel or similar toolsEven if you don’t fit 100% of these criteria, we'd still love to hear from you so please do apply!
