Join the team and create the future of customer experience together.Job DescriptionJob Titile: Senior Revenue AnalystGenesys is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Revenue Analyst to join our growing team! The Senior Revenue Analyst will be responsible for tasks related to one or more of several workstreams’ (Cloud, On premise, Term License, Maintenance and Professional Service) revenue recognition.The Senior Revenue Analyst will assist in the validation, accounting and review of sales-related transactions, and to assist in the supervision of these tasks. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate reporting of revenue and accounting data as part of the monthly revenue close process. The Senior Revenue Analyst will also work closely with the deal desk team in reviewing deal structure and terms. Key Responsibilities:The primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to);Revenue Analysis:Part of a team that ensures that all revenue is accounted for in accordance with Genesys policies and accounting guidelines, i.e. ASC 606.Review of completeness and accuracy of data in the Revenue system (RevPro).Determining and processing appropriate contract updates, revenue adjustments and other journals in the Revenue System.Operating and overseeing revenue related internal controls.Support recognition on new product / acquisitionsProvide ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance to legal, Deals desk and order managementPrepare technical accounting memo for complex transactionsOther Senior Revenue Analyst Tasks:Review of qualifying customer orders to ensure compliance with the Revenue Recognition Policy and accounting principles.Review/approve sales orders against company policy.  Advise sales and finance operations teams of any inconsistencies against policy and recommended actionsWorking closely with Order Management, Collections, Operations and Sales Personnel to meet business objectives.Evaluation and calculation of revenue-related reserves.Assist with the review of sales opportunities, contracts and non-standard transactions – provide appropriate accounting guidance and propose solutions within Company’s revenue recognition policyPrepare deal reviews/checklist to ensure revenue is being recognized in adherence to ASC606 and Company policy.Prepare analysis and journal entries as necessary to support the month end close processSupport the revenue projects function in the design, test and implementation of updates to existing and new systemsPrepare ad hoc analysis, as neededOther:Maintain necessary financial and control records along with supporting documentation related to Revenue for audit and Sarbanes-Oxley purposes.Participation in ad hoc projects to support business initiatives including assessment of new products, acquisitions and new internal revenue reporting needsRequirements:Minimum 6 years of related Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) experienceExperience with software clients and/or industry with revenue backgroundBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance and/or Part Qualified Accountant (ICAI, CCAB, CPA or equivalent)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsHighly organized, with great attention to detailConfidence and proven record to communicate both orally and written, including the dissemination of technical informationAbility to interact effectively with sales and product teams, functional peer groups and subordinates and to gain cooperation from others, especially those in other departments, as well as with outside auditors and outside legal counselAbility to work independently and take ownership of multiple concurrent and diversified tasks, while working with deadlinesProblem solver: The candidate should be a strong, analytical problem solver with a common sense and practical solutions orientationDesirable Skills:Experience using Salesforce, RevPro, Tableau, and Workday Prior experience with SaaS companyPublic accounting experienceAdvanced in Excel#LI-PR1#LI-HybridIf a Genesys employee referred you, please use the link they sent you to apply.About Genesys:Genesys® empowers more than 8,000 organizations worldwide to create the best customer and employee experiences.
