The team is also responsible for building software for warehouse operations including integration with custom hardware, RFID readers & mobile devices running on android platformAbout the role:We are seeking a talented and motivated full stack software engineer who has the skills to design, develop and release the software related to authenticating high value items on time and with high quality. The role requires to design, code, test, maintain software solutions , guide junior team members and also work closely with product managers & peer teamsRequirements:Define, design, implement and maintain complex, multi-tier distributed software systems focused on Authenticating high value luxury itemsDrive design and architecture discussions, produce well-documented design docs, and participate in design and code reviewsCollaborate closely with peers, Architects, Product Managers, Business Partners, Quality Engineers, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet functional and non-functional standards and expectationsContribute to the development, testing, release, triage, bug fix, documentation and rest of the cycles in product development and maintenanceEstimate engineering effort, plan execution cycles, and rollout system changesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 6+ years of experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5+ years of hands-on experience in building large-scale distributed systemsExcellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures and algorithms. Expertise in all layers of multi-tier applications to design complete solutions and maintain productsExtensive hands-on experience and expertise in designing &  developing APIs using REST/GraphQLExtensive hands-on experience and expertise in object-oriented design methodology and application development using Java/J2EE or Ruby/Rails, Design Patterns, Spring and Spring Boot frameworks, Web services and Caching mechanisms,Knowledge of React, JavaScript and front end frameworks and experience developing front end applicationsExperience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g Google Cloud Platform) , cloud database systems (NoSQL and relational)performance tradeoffs, load balancing and operational issuesKnowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operationsNice to have QualificationsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions/JenkinsUnderstanding of git and Github workflowsExperience developing mobile applications on Android platformFamiliarity with Event driven architectures and Distributed processing technologiesExperience working in warehouse operations, Shipping, logistics or luxury item AuthenticationA love of simple, well-tested code that is easy to extend and hard to breakAdditional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:C$118,000 - C$157,500Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
