Our Fulfillment Center team works on-site in Commercial Point, OH to support our physical operations and plays a vital role in delivering the Babylist experience.
What the Role Is
As an Inbound QA Specialist at our Commercial Point Fulfillment Center, you’ll be the go-to expert for ensuring every product that enters our building is accurate, safe, and ecommerce-ready. From labeling and packaging to system setup in HighJump , you’ll catch issues before they cause delays or mistakes further down the line. This is a specialist-level individual contributor role , not a leadership or supervisory position. You won’t manage others—but you’ll be trusted to make judgment calls, escalate quality risks, and protect our operations by preventing defects at the source. You’ll collaborate closely with receiving, inventory, and operations teams while maintaining full ownership of your own area.
You’ll work Day Shift (Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm) at our fulfillment center. The role is physical—expect to walk several miles per shift and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Who You Are
2+ years in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or quality assurance , ideally in a high-volume e-commerce or fulfillment environment
Familiar with warehouse systems ( HighJump experience is a plus ), and confident navigating WMS setups, labels, and item attributes
Understands ecommerce requirements—like barcode scannability, correct casepacks, and parcel-ready packaging
Detail-focused, with a strong sense of responsibility—you take ownership and don’t let problems slid
Comfortable escalating issues clearly and professionally, with the documentation to back it up
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and walking several miles per shift in a fast-paced environment
Looking for a long-term, specialist-level role where your knowledge and consistency make a daily impact
Comfortable using AI tools that support data visibility and decision-making—we’ll train you on the systems we use
How You Will Make An Impact
Inspect all inbound shipments to ensure they meet packaging, labeling, and safety standards
Verify UPC/BL-ID scanability, lot codes, expiration dates , and packaging compliance (including hazmat/lithium battery labeling)
Confirm item setup in HighJump matches physical product, including measurements, casepacks, and system logic
Flag and stop inventory issues that could cause exceptions or customer impact downstream
Document root causes and share clear, actionable feedback with inventory and operations leadership
Provide real-time signals and reporting that support smooth wave planning and staffing decisions
Reduce rework, delays, and fulfillment issues by catching problems before they reach the floor
Build trust as a reliable, high-accountability quality specialist —someone teams count on to get it right the first time
Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity in a fast-paced fulfillment center environment. The physical expectations of the role include:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 10–12 hours per shift) with scheduled breaks
Ability to walk the equivalent of 10,000+ steps per day
Ability to lift and move items up to 20 lbs multiple times per hour
Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and repetitive motion throughout the shift
