The Test Engineering Manager should have a solid foundation in PCIe Protocol and Products, Testing Strategy, influencing and impacting Broadcom’s business needs. The Test Engineering Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of a team of Functional Test Engineers, and be comfortable in working with, and collaborating, with US based Product, Fimware and Test Development teams.Key Areas of ResponsibilityDrive manufacturing excellence and ensure the highest quality standards across our productsBecome a Broadcom Test and manufacturing expertFirst point of contact for all sustaining product, process and quality concerns regarding Testing of Board productsManage In Circuit Test (ICT) and Final Functional test activities at CM sitesOwn product test coverage, test flow, and test limits from handoff after test development through mass production to End-of-LifeCoordinate between design/R&D, product engineering, manufacturing, and CM teams to support sustaining product updatesSupport New Product Introduction (NPI), including correlation, validation, and production ramp-up on a as-needed basisMonitor test yield, DPPM, and quality metrics; drive yield improvement and cost reduction initiativesLead failure analysis and root cause investigation for test escapes, yield loss, and customer returnsSupport engineering change orders (ECO), test revisions, and product transfersEnsure test hardware and processes meet reliability, cost, quality, and schedule target requirementsRequirements / QualificationsProven experience managing a group and/or teamBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related disciplineExperience in test/product engineering or manufacturing testSolid knowledge of test hardware designStrong understanding of final test processesExperience working with CMs and high-volume manufacturing environmentsGood analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with Linux based test platformsKnowledge of PCIe, and high-speed digital/analog IOExperience in yield analysis, test data miningFamiliarity with NPI, product qualification, and mass production releaseLead /facilitate cross-functional RCCA meetings, including Risk and Technical AssessmentsDefine and lead cost reduction initiatives supporting annual operating planEssential QualificationsMinimum 5+ years experience in Test Engineering functionMinimum 3+ years in an employee managing roleBS in Engineering, MBA or MS preferredComprehensive knowledge of PCIe productsExpertise in PCBA manufacturing, system integration & test, and field return repair processes & toolsWell versed in SKU and BOM lifecycle management tools, such as PLMCDemonstrated experience in collaborating with design engineering and contract manufacturing on product development, engineering/manufacturing specifications, and sustaining ProductionDemonstrated background in manufacturing outsourcing and fulfillmentExperienced in Test Flows for Functional Testing of ProductsUtilize quality metrics in developing, monitoring, and improving operational objectivesDemonstrated experience with business communication, can effectively communicate with business, technical and operational teamsAbility to analyze and make critical decisions with minimum dataDemonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneouslyBroadcom is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
