This is a technical role in a fast-paced environment that demands interaction with enterprises at senior levels, as well as with technical staff within the traditional IT and Security organization. Independently provide ongoing and proactive technical leadership and support to Proofpoint’s strategic customers with little direction.Your day-to-day Manage and monitor support interactions, serving as an internal advocate for strategic customers, responding to customer escalations, and proactively escalating when neededMeet regularly with clients to review support interactions, system status, key issues, emerging threats and how to combat them using Proofpoint products and servicesDevelop deep understanding of customer’s business and operational needsMaintain deep practical technical knowledge of Proofpoint’s integration within the customer's environment, including network, security, systems administration, and messaging managementDevelop and oversee a comprehensive strategy to meet complex customer requirements utilizing Proofpoint’s solutionsProvide proactive recommendations that protect our customer’s information assets, leveraging the Proofpoint product suiteIdentify and prioritize short term and long-term goalsPlan and lead process improvement initiatives tailored to improve customer satisfaction with the services and interaction with the Proofpoint TeamPlan, document, and identify risks and challenges for production changes that span multiple services or technologiesMonitors levels customer satisfaction and escalates customer concerns as necessaryResponsible for scheduling own time and for quality completion of multiple tasks within a varying environment of changing constraintsUses independent judgment within broad parametersDesigns and implements solutions to complex problems with minimum supervisionProvide technical guidance to customer teams and respond to enquiries regarding product features and functionalityWhat you bring to the team3+ years of industry experience in a client/professional service, sales engineer, senior support engineer, IT operations management, or senior engineer role with exposure to multiple technology areasManaged security or consultancy experience is requiredKnowledge of data communication concepts and technologies, specifically email and networkingDevelop innovative ways to leverage existing data and correlate customer data with other sets available at ProofpointWorking knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, and Microsoft ExchangeA history of successfully motivating and inspiring coworkers your team and ensure they work efficiently and effectivelyAbility to effectively work in a team environment as well as independentlyMust be proactive and have outstanding verbal and written communication skillsThe successful candidate will have relevant experience with Proofpoint products and understand threat protectionA deep understanding and up-to-date handle on the evolving threat landscape, giving briefings to customers, prospects and internal groups to spread threat intelligence landscape awarenessProactive, self-starter driven by setting and achieving goalsBackground in security, especially around threat actor tactics, techniques, and proceduresWhy Proofpoint Protecting people is at the heart of our award-winning lineup of cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success. We are a customer-focused and driven-to-win organization with leading-edge products—and many exciting reasons to join our team.
