Our Ways of Working
Babylist thrives as a remote-first company, with HQ team members located across the U.S. and Canada. We meet in person twice a year—once as a company and once by department to strengthen the relationships that power our work. We show up consistently, stay purpose-driven, leverage AI to amplify our impact, and achieve results—together, from anywhere.
What the Role Is
We’re looking for a Social Video Editor to support the next phase of Babylist’s growth across both organic social content and paid acquisition. This is a high-output, hands-on role for an editor who understands how to move fast without compromising creative quality, while balancing performance goals with trust, clarity, and empathy for our audience. In this role, you’ll edit conversion-focused paid videos as well as organic content, including social trailers, podcast clips, short-form finance and educational content, and day-to-day social media edits. You’ll work closely with teams across Acquisition, Brand Marketing, Content, and Social, translating strategy, insights, and raw footage into compelling, platform-native videos.
This role reports to the Senior Video Producer and is focused on post-production and creative iteration. You’ll collaborate closely with the Acquisition team to review performance insights, iterate based on results, and contribute to a fast-moving test-and-learn environment. Your work will directly impact creative velocity, testing learnings, and how Babylist shows up across channels.
Who You Are
You’re a performance-minded editor with strong creative instincts and a clear point of view. You’re energized by daily editing, iteration, and experimentation - and you care deeply about clarity, trust, and craft.
You bring:
3-6 years of experience editing performance-driven, social-first, or short-form video content for consumer brands, marketplaces, media companies, or agencies
A strong understanding of how video performs across paid and organic channels, with familiarity around metrics like thumbstop, retention, CTR, VTR, and conversion
Comfort editing content that’s helpful, human, and sometimes less polished-but highly effective
The ability to look at a library of raw footage and assets and independently build compelling videos without needing a detailed brief
Strong instincts for pacing, rhythm, tone, storytelling, and visual clarity
A clear understanding of how to work within music libraries to support mood, storytelling, and brand voice
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere (or similar editing software) and After Effects, including light motion work such as animated captions, text callouts, and visual enhancements
Curiosity around platform behavior and trends, paired with good judgment about what actually fits the Babylist brand
Comfort using AI tools to improve efficiency, iterate faster, and enhance creative output
You thrive in a fast-paced, high-output environment, collaborate clearly in a remote setting, and bring thoughtfulness and empathy to your work-especially when editing content for parents and parents-to-be during a major life transition.
How You Will Make An Impact
Increase creative output across paid and organic channels by producing daily, high-quality edits that support testing, learning, and growth
Help Acquisition move faster and smarter by iterating on hooks, pacing, tone, and storytelling based on real performance insights
Elevate organic social content through clear, engaging, platform-native edits that feel useful, trustworthy, and emotionally resonant
Introduce creative diversity by experimenting with new formats, structures, and editing styles-while staying grounded in Babylist’s brand voice
Turn existing footage, podcasts, and content libraries into scalable, high-impact assets across platforms
Support a strong post-production workflow through clean organization, thoughtful versioning, and reliable execution
Contribute to a creative culture that values experimentation, learning, and impact-where speed and craft coexist

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
