Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Senior Compliance Analyst - South Africa (Remote)Closing Date: Thursday 19th February 2026 As a Senior Compliance Analyst here at Illumina you will be under the direction of the Compliance function and reporting to the Europe Regional Compliance Officer (“Europe RCO”), this position assists with the sub-regional anti-corruption compliance program and helps ensure alignment with the 7 Elements of an Effective Compliance Program and the global Corporate Compliance Program.This position helps implement compliance standards and procedures, helps ensure they are communicated and embedded within the business, and serve as the local subject matter expert on anti-corruption topics. The role requires strong business partnership and collaboration skills. The position also partners with the Investigations function on anti-corruption matters as needed.This is a full-time, permanent position to be based in South Africa. The suitable candidate must have the willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.Illumina's employee benefits are industry-leading and include, flexible time off, private medical insurance, compassion and care time off, leisure travel insurance, pension, employee stock purchasing program, volunteer time off, and much more!Responsibilities:At the direction of the Europe RCO, provide compliance oversight and support for the Middle East and Africa.Serves as the Middle East and Africa sub-regional point of contact for compliance-related matters.May assist with cross-regional projects, initiatives, or risk areas that extend beyond the assigned geographic markets.At the direction of the Europe RCO, help ensure the sub-regional compliance program aligns with the global Corporate Compliance Program and the 7 Elements of an Effective Compliance Program.At the direction of the Europe RCO, support the development and implementation of sub-regional compliance policies and procedures to meet legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.Deliver effective training and communications, including localization as appropriate.Promote awareness of the Corporate Compliance Program across the sub-region.At the direction of the Europe RCO, conduct sub-region monitoring and auditing based on the annual Global Monitoring and Auditing Plan.  Administer sub-regional Channel Partner databases and coordinate due diligence on distributors, agents, and third-party intermediaries. Support compliance and ethics-related investigations, inspections, and audits in collaboration with the CCO, DCO, Europe RCO, and the Investigations function as needed.Provide quarterly reporting to the EuropeRCO regarding sub-regional compliance initiatives, training, and program performance.Perform other duties as assigned to ensure an effective sub-regional compliance program.RequirementsTypically requires a Bachelor’s degree and considerable related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Familiarity with regional and global anti-corruption laws, regulations, and related controls.Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CPA, JD, MBA) is a plus.Regional medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturer-related compliance experience strongly preferred.Fluency in any MEA language is a plus, preferably Arabic.Strong sense of integrity and ability to balance business needs with independent judgment.Knowledge of anti-corruption compliance, including the 7 Elements of an Effective Compliance Program.Strong analytical, organizational, and self-management skills; able to work independently in a matrixed environment.Excellent project management, process improvement, and communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint emphasized).Strong diplomatic skills, cultural awareness, and ability to find business-friendly compliance solutions.Key CompetenciesStrategic & Regulatory Acumen – Translates complex regulatory requirements into practical, business-aligned solutions.Influence & Stakeholder Management – Builds trusted relationships and drives alignment without direct authority.Communication & Collaboration – Simplifies and communicates compliance concepts across diverse audiences.Operational Excellence – Executes compliance initiatives effectively with measurable outcomes.Leadership & People Development – Develops teams and fosters a culture of integrity and accountability.Matrixed Organization Effectiveness – Navigates global, regional, and local priorities in a complex structure.We are a company deeply rooted in belonging, promoting an inclusive environment where employees feel valued and empowered to contribute to our mission.
