New Sr Cost Accountant USA - South San Francisco, CA Apply We are seeking a (Sr) Cost Accountant to contribute their expertise to our finance team. They will report directly to the Manufacturing Finance and Cost Accounting Manager. The (Sr) Accountant will play a major role in maintaining data integrity in SAP to ensure inventory valuation to be complete and accurate. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial accounting, has worked in a fast-paced environment, is adaptable to change, and is capable of helping to create and operate controlled scalable processes. Hybrid Position - Onsite 3 Days - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. What You’ll Be Doing : Support the development and enhancement of costing processes and systems to improve financial reporting and operational decision-making. Prepare and assist in setting standard costs of manufactured goods.  Conduct variance analysis, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions. Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure accurate tracking of material, labor, and overhead costs. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including physical counts, journal entries and inventory reconciliation. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and GAAP. Data clean up within SAP related to inventory and Bill of Materials. Establish systems for ensuring accurate Bill of Materials. Other tasks as assigned.   What You’ll Bring to the Team: Accountant Level Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in accounting, Big Four preferred. Strong understanding of standard full accounting processes. Direct experience with financial systems, manufacturing systems, general ledger, standardized cost accounting, along with budgeting and forecasting. (SAP Preferred) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites.  Basic knowledge of and interest in supply chain/manufacturing.   Sr Accountant Level Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA Preferred. 7+ years of experience in accounting, Big Four preferred. 3+ years experience in cost accounting Strong understanding of standard costing and full cost accounting processes. Direct experience with financial systems, manufacturing systems, general ledger, standardized cost accounting, along with budgeting and forecasting.  3+ Years of experience with SAP Required Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
