Responsibilities:Business Planning and Strategy:Defines and maintains the strategy, roadmap and business plan for Illumina's RGH assay programs Partners with customer and regional marketing, medical affairs, market access and other teams to define and obtain alignment on strategies and new program proposalsAssesses market needs and gaps, opportunities and trends, and competitive landscape Conducts market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysisDefines business cases and project proposals for new product featuresProduct Lifecycle Management:Serves as customer advocate and product management leader for RGH development programs; helps drive market requirements and tradeoff decisionsEnsures efficiency and coordination of portfolio activities with other product managersPartners with Segment and Regional Marketing teams to provide guidance, input, and support for product updates and launchesMonitors product performance metrics and customer feedback to inform continuous improvement and strategic pivotsTeam and Cross-Functional Leadership: Manages team of product managers; provides direction, day-to-day supervision, mentoring and career development supportProvides vision and serves as key subject matter expert for RGH market and assays, and related strategy across the organizationEstablishes and maintains relationships with key customers and partnersProvides input (e.g., product, service needs) to technical platform roadmap Requirements: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of related experience, with 3-6 years of Management experience. BS or BA in engineering, marketing, or genomics-related field; MBA preferred5+ years in product management, with continuous expansion of responsibilities 8+ years of experience in marketing, sales or other customer-facing role in Life Sciences or Clinical field; advanced degree can substitute for some work experienceAble to travel approximately 25% on averageExperience developing, launching and sustaining molecular tests in the LDT or IVD marketsStrong knowledge of reproductive and genetic health molecular diagnostics testing market and applicationsUnderstanding of clinical customers, laboratory workflows and validation activities, from sample to result, as well as downstream activities through patient reportingUnderstanding of global regulatory and reimbursement considerationsKnowledge of genomics and next generation sequencing, preferredAbility to own both long-term strategy and executional detailAbility to solve complex problems informed by robust analysis and multiple data pointsExperience conducting market research, survey analysis, voice of customer, and other foundational marketing and product management activitiesExperience creating market models and sales projections, and setting pricing policiesDemonstrated experience in successfully managing individuals or small teamsExperience leading cross-functional teams, and demonstrated ability to influence across the organization at all levelsExceptional time and project management skills and ability to independently prioritize competing requestsStrong knowledge of Microsoft office suite products and business modelingStrong written, communication and presentation skillsAble to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs and other related duties may be assigned.The estimated base salary range for the Senior Manager, Product Management, Reproductive and Genetic Health role based in the United States of America is: $155,600 - $233,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
