The student will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesSoftware design areas may include but are not limited to: Battery Management Systems (BMS), Electronic Control Units (ECUs), Motor Controllers (MCU’s), DC/DC Converters, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).Maintain and enhance existing embedded software to improve reliability, performance, and compliance with updated standards. (UL1998, ISO26262, IEC61508, etc.).Investigate and resolve software defects, field issues, and customer-reported problems, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions.Gain a foundational understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology.Communication and CollaborationDevelop effective communication skills by collaborating with team members and presenting findings to different stakeholders.Education and QualificationPursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related programMust have reliable transportation to the officeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPossess solid hands-on approach to problem-solvingDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivatedEstimated Base Salary Range:$21.00 - $25.00
