This position will be involved in a broad range of accounting areas, including assisting in the financial reporting function, treasury analysis, technical accounting research, creating and maintaining accounting policies, and support of significant transactions. If you're someone that has an eye for details, has strong technical accounting skills, and enjoys a strong team oriented and fast-paced environment, you'll likely feel right at home on this team!A Typical Day:  Assist with preparation and filing of SEC reports including 10-Q/Ks, 8-Ks, financial audit support preparationAssist in the preparation of quarterly financial presentations for senior leadership, audit committee and other external parties including supporting Investor Relations and the quarterly earnings release processPrepare and analyze monthly financial statements including the statement of cash flowsPrepare memos and documentation analyzing the application of GAAP to non-routine transactionsIdentify and implement process improvements to simplify financial reporting processesResearch and monitor new GAAP pronouncements and analyze their impact to Q2 to ensure compliance with new accounting guidancePrepare journal entries, reconciliations, and related disclosures to account for various cash transactions including fixed income investments and debtMonitor cash and investment portfolio and perform related treasury modeling and cash flow forecastingPrepare quarterly debt compliance calculations and certificationsParticipate in special projects by providing technical accounting research and subject matter expertise.  Projects may include business combinations, impairment reviews, ASC 606 expertise, and accounting systems implementationsExecute and monitor internal controls around financial reporting functionsBring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here's What We're Looking For:   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience, Masters preferredMust have a minimum of 3-5 years of related industry experience, preferably including Public Accounting experienceCPA preferred or working towards obtaining certificationThorough knowledge and application of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel knowledge (financial modeling experience)SEC reporting experience a mustSoftware/Software as a Service industry accounting experience a plusNetSuite, Oracle NSPB, Workiva and Auditboard experience a plusAbility to operate independently with minimal upfront instruction and take ownership of work product; driven, diligent, and self-motivatedStrong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skillsExcellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and meet assigned deadlinesExcellent communication skills with a customer service focusTrustworthy and discreet with confidential financial and employee data  This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
