The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing the company's fixed assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The capex senior accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate records, perform asset valuations, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with US GAAP accounting principles and reporting standardsPerform regular audits and reconciliations of fixed asset records to ensure accuracy and integrityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data related to fixed assetsPrepare and maintain detailed documentation of fixed asset transactions, including journal entries, supporting schedules, and reconciliationsAssist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and disclosures related to fixed assetsProvide insights and analysis on fixed asset performance, trends, and variancesSupport internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanationsStay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with new standardsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices for fixed asset management Technical AccountingWorks with stakeholders on reaching and documenting accounting conclusionsWorks with business partners on staying informed of relevant mattersProactively identifies unusual accounting matters and resolves complex issuesMonitors and ensures compliance with evolving US GAAP requirementsSupports implementation of new accounting standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA certification or equivalent preferredStrong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and reporting requirementsProven experience in fixed asset accounting and reporting, preferably in a corporate settingProficiency in using accounting software (Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAttention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of dataStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 80,000 - 120,000 USD / Annual Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 73,000 - 109,000 CAD / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
