The primary objective is to work closely with the Account Manager to achieve sales targets by positioning and delivering F5’s solutions to customers and partners.An SE combines strong technical expertise, business understanding, and consultative skills to become a trusted advisor for customers. This includes understanding customer architecture, identifying pain points, proposing value-driven solutions, and supporting the full sales cycle from discovery to technical validation.Sounds interesting? Read On!What you’ll Do:Technical & Sales EngagementProvide technical leadership through presentations, whiteboards, solution demonstrations, PoCs, and workshops as a trusted advisor.Design and articulate end-to-end solutions that address customer business challenges and highlight F5’s differentiated value.Present both technical and business outcomes through clear Technical Value Propositions.Support the creation of customer-facing content (presentations, demos, use cases, competitive positioning).Maintain strong awareness of industry trends and competitive landscape.Collaborate closely with the sales team on opportunity qualification, technical strategy, account planning, and executive engagement.Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customer architects, engineers, and leadership.Customer Engagement ResponsibilitiesClearly communicate F5’s value proposition and align it with customer business objectives.Build trusted advisor relationships with technical stakeholders and management.Provide world-class support throughout the pre-sales cycle and ensure smooth handoffs to post-sales teams.Deliver clear and concise messaging to CxO-level audiences.Use Salesforce and internal tools to document, manage, and track opportunities.Post-Sales CollaborationWork with F5 Technical Support and Professional Services teams to ensure customer successMaintain a strong “customer-first” mindset throughout the deployment lifecycleWhat you’ll BringBachelor’s degree in computer science related areas or equivalent level of experience8+ years of relevant industry experience and 4+ years in technical presales or similar customer-facing engineering rolesStrong knowledge of networking fundamentals, load balancing, L4–L7 security, TLS, and traffic managementFamiliarity with public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud) and application delivery in cloud environmentsUnderstanding of container technologies such as Kubernetes or OpenShiftExperience with automation concepts and basic scripting (e.g., Python, REST APIs, Ansible)Knowledge of modern Web and API security, including bot protection, DDoS mitigation, and authentication protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML)General understanding of AI/ML architectures and how AI workloads impact networking and security requirementsAwareness of LLM/GenAI concepts and common enterprise use cases.Understanding of security considerations for AI applications and AI-driven API trafficFamiliarity with industry trends in AI-assisted security, application performance, and automationAbility to discuss AI-related customer initiatives at a conceptual and architectural levelSolid understanding of F5 solutions, application delivery, application security, and modern application architecture is a plusExperience in cloud, security, networking, or application delivery domains is preferredFluent English and Mandarin; additional languages a plusStrong communication, presentation, and account strategy skillsStrong solution-selling mindset and business acumenAbility to lead technical strategy for key accounts and deliver compelling value propositions.Ability to simplify complex technology concepts for business stakeholdersStrong collaboration and teamwork skillsWhat You’ll GetHybrid working modeCareer growth and development opportunities  Recognitions and RewardsEmployee Assistance ProgramCompetitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and cool perksCulture of Giving BackDynamic Diversity & Inclusion Interest GroupsApply if you believe your own unique capabilities can contribute to the success of this role and our organization!#LI-SP5The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
