Job DescriptionWhere you’ll work: Remote/ BangaloreAbout the roleThe Salesforce Engineering Manager is an experienced developer responsible for guiding the Salesforce development team in designing, building, and deploying robust solutions across Salesforce and related tools. This role facilitates agile practices, resolving blockers, and ensures team alignment while aiding with technical architecture and mentoring and assisting developers.Yours Day to DayAs an Engineering Manager, you would be working on:Lead and manage Salesforce development and QA team membersProvide technical guidance, coaching, and support, including onboarding and trainingFoster collaboration, continuous learning, and promote Salesforce best practicesFacilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment and continuous improvementFoster a culture of iterative development, continuous feedback, and adaptability to changing requirementsTrack and report team performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown) to drive transparency and delivery predictabilityRemove impediments and blockers to enable effective sprint progress and deliveryEnsure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and data securityEstablish, enforce, and review coding standards and documentation practicesImplement and uphold security and compliance for data access and storageConduct code reviews, approve contributions, and guide technical decision-makingSupport a culture of accountability and continuous improvementLead the design and deployment of Salesforce solutionsCollaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to define, prioritize, and refine the product backlog as well as translate requirements into user stories and deliverablesArchitect scalable and maintainable solutions to meet business objectives, including partnering with the Platform Architect on larger initiativesOversee DevOps processes including versioning, CI/CD, and release managementWhat We’re Looking ForAs an Engineering Manager, your background will look like:4+ years of Salesforce leadership experience, with hands-on development in Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL.Proven experience leading Salesforce development teams or initiativesSolid understanding of Salesforce architecture, best practices, and data securityExperience with Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, external systems)Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for complex Salesforce environmentsExperience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) within agile or scrum frameworksFamiliarity with code versioning tools (e.g., Git), CI/CD processes, and code review practicesExperience translating business requirements into technical solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, architecture)Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, App Builder, or Architect trackWhat We Offer At GoTo, we believe in supporting our employees with a comprehensive range of benefits designed to fit your life—at work and beyond.
