We are looking for a Staff Attorney to lead vendor and NDA contracting, support other corporate contracting and further support CLEAR’s revenue businesses and product development teams. You will partner closely with CLEAR’s Finance, Procurement and Security Teams in reviewing, approving and negotiating CLEAR’s strategic relationships and ensuring CLEAR is properly protected and positioned for success.
What you'll do:
Be point person for the legal department for CLEAR’s vendor relationships, partnering with the Finance, Procurement and Security teams to ensure proper contract terms and risk mitigation is in place. This role will negotiate most vendor agreements and support senior attorneys for the most sensitive or complicated vendors.
Generate and review NDAs
Improve CLEAR’s archiving and contract management processes
Have shared responsibility within the legal team for Ironclad, the CLEAR Legal Department’s Contract Management System (CMS) and Tropic, CLEAR’s Procurement Team’s vendor management platform
Support subsidiary management, including filings with the company's registered agent
Collaborate with business partners across the organization on various projects
How you'll measure success:
Contract Turnaround Time : Measure the time taken to review, draft, and negotiate contracts. Set benchmarks for different types of contracts to ensure efficiency
Risk Mitigation : Track and compile metrics to ensure CLEAR is appropriately taking on risk and has contractual coverage for risk from its vendors and partners
Cost Savings : Achieve cost savings through effective contract management, such as reduced legal fees, mitigated risks, and improved negotiation terms
What you're great at:
2+ years of experience in either law firms or in-house legal departments
Experienced negotiating contracts and working directly with business partners
Experience with nondisclosure, consulting and vendor (MSA) agreements
Experience with Contract Management Systems (CMS), including Ironclad and/or Salesforce, a plus
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Excellent business judgment, communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent issue spotting skills

The base salary range for this role is $130,000-160,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
