The individuals chosen for these roles are to be senior technical resources with a wide breadth of technical experience and expertise. As such, they are empowered to make on the spot design and operational decisions.ResponsibilitiesMonitor managed infrastructure and investigate related alertsPromote and enforce best practices on solutions delivery to produce maximum uptimeProvide consultative and professional services to our customersWork with vendors for product information and technical supportEngage other Equinix departments for solutions design and deliveryProvide timely response to all incidents, outages and requests to customers and service providersRecord all work and incident details using ticketing systemQualificationsExperience with multi-vendor hosted environmentsStrong understanding of IP and TCP/IP protocolsStrong understanding of networking fundamentals and OSI modelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent teamwork and customer service skillsGood knowledge of hosting marketplaceSolid understanding and production experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix, Nutanix etc.)Nice have Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Red Hat RHCT or other, Network+ or other network and OS related certifications or experienceNice to have knowledge of SQL, Exchange3+ years of network experience in a data center and managed IT services environmentCollege, University Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong analytical and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentOther Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of Equinix Canada processes and systems an advantageCapable of building an informal knowledge network to assist in their knowledge and development within Equinix CanadaAbility to work shifts in a 24/7/365 environmentThe targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: Canada - TR7 Toronto : 73,000 - 109,000 CAD / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
