The ideal candidate will be a thought leader who sets industry-aligned standards for data modeling and architecture, driving data interoperability, semantic consistency, and enterprise data governance. This role is central to enabling our cloud-native, AI-enabled data platform vision and ensuring trusted, high-quality data is available for business insights and innovation. Responsibilities Information Architecture & Data Modeling Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for cloud data platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and flexibilityDevelop and maintain canonical data models (CDM), shared taxonomies, and semantic models for assigned business domainsTranslate business requirements into well-structured data models that support operational, analytical, and AI/ML use casesPartner with engineering teams to design data contracts, APIs, and integration patterns that ensure data consistency across servicesData Architecture Design Contribute to the development of domain-specific data architectures that align with enterprise data strategies and cloud platform standardsDesign and guide implementation of data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse solutions using platforms such as GCP BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow or equivalentsSupport the integration of AI/ML models into data pipelines with a focus on data readiness, lineage, and governanceData Governance & Quality Ensure data models and designs align with governance, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)Collaborate with data governance teams to implement metadata standards, data quality rules, and lineage trackingSupport stewardship processes to maintain model integrity and alignment with evolving business needsCollaboration & Influence Act as a technical leader and subject matter expert on data modeling and information architecture for engineering, analytics, and business teamsParticipate in architecture reviews, providing guidance on data design decisions and best practices.Contribute to the definition and enforcement of data architecture standards across assigned domainsQualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field10+ years of experience in data modeling, information architecture, or data engineering, including 2+ years in an architecture or principal-level roleStrong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with SQLProven experience in designing and implementing data architectures, ETL processes, and MLOps practicesKnowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience in deploying ML models in productionStrong expertise in: Data modeling techniques: relational (3NF), dimensional (Kimball), Data Vault 2.0, hierarchical, NoSQL, graph modelsCloud-native data architecture: GCP (BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow), AWS, or Azure equivalentsSemantic modeling for BI / analytics (Looker Modeler / LookML, dbt, Dataform)Data governance, lineage, and metadata management practicesSolid experience with: Defining data contracts and API data schemasSupporting data quality frameworks and data stewardshipDesigning cloud-native data solutions that balance performance, cost, and scalabilityExcellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications Experience implementing data architectures in a data mesh, data fabric, or lakehouse environmentHands-on experience with modern catalog, lineage, and observability toolFamiliarity with MLOps pipelines and AI/ML data requirementsWhat You Bring Passion for designing data solutions that enable trust, reuse, and agilityAbility to translate complex data concepts into actionable solutionsStrong sense of ownership, with a focus on delivering high-quality architectures that stand the test of time The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
