Develops site, standards and compliance knowledge. Learns to use professional concepts to resolve routine entry issues within a limited scope. Responsibilities2nd Line ResponsibilitiesEnsuring that the organization adheres to all relevant health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations, and related risk identification at work placeIncident Investigation and Reporting: Investigating workplace incidents or accidents and reporting findings to appropriate partiesEnvironmental Management: Implementing strategies for waste management, pollution control, and sustainable practicesContinuous Improvement: Regularly reviewing and updating EHS policies and procedures to improve safety standardsFields routine communications: requests for assistance, questions, reports of non-compliance, etc.Fields basic questions, works with manager or senior teammates to compile and communicate responsesAssures team stays current on standards, fielding their requests for training and other newsfeed resources related to EHS topicsSupports and advises 1st Line of Defense on Management Reviews on topics related to EHSPasses more complex issues to senior teammates Audits & CertificationsSupport in ensuring compliance to EHS audits & certificationsReports any findings to senior staff and relevant stakeholdersSupports rollout of new certifications and sustenance of existing certifications within the sites in scopeAssist in preparing answers to customer questionnaires Follow up on corrective actions related to audit findings, collect and review audit evidence Management SystemsProvides routine site level logistical support for management review meetingsSupports the basic maintenance of compliance records in local/global repositories, including: records relevant to Operations compliance(Operations Assurance and EHS)Identify local procedures that need to be developed to comply with local legislative and Equinix requirementsRemain updated with the global/regional policies and processes relevant to the compliance subject assigned and communicate any changes thereof to senior staff and key stakeholders Program ManagementPrepares basic reports based on compliance audits and other program dataSupport compliance tools/systems under guidance of senior staff within the teamAnalyse corrective and preventative actions to identify systemic issues/root causes/delays in EHS related compliance issuesIdentifies process improvement initiatives and EHS related compliance projects for the site/country in collaboration with local, regional and/or global stakeholders TrainingMaintains training records and the training schedule and logistics, within a limited scopeAssists with follow-up of basic compliance training completion, BCP drills etc.Implements training plans for standards, regulatory and reporting requirements (i.e., environmental compliance) Compliance ImplementationFields entry level questions, works with manager or senior teammates to compile and communicate responsesEscalates more complex issues to senior teammatesTracks actions that are not in compliance with policies in the management systemEvaluate site alignment with Equinix policies and propose corrective actions Qualifications2+ years of experience in relevant field of compliance preferredBachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably in Environmental/Electrical/Mechanical) or related subjectCertification in ISO14001/45001/50001 or other ISO standards would be an added advantageEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
