This role involves ensuring compliance with Equinix global standards, local statutory codes, and effective coordination among all project stakeholders. The candidate must possess strong leadership and technical expertise. ResponsibilitiesDesign OwnershipGuide, receive and review complete designs from the Engineer of Record (EOR)Take full responsibility for the design's accuracy, compliance, and deliveryEnsure designs align with Equinix global standards and local statutory regulations Compliance ManagementEnsure adherence to international and local building codes, zoning requirements, and statutory approvalsMonitor designs for compliance with sustainability practices and industry-leading standards Stakeholder CoordinationCollaborate with Construction Managers, Commercial Managers, Procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project executionFacilitate regular meetings to address design issues, milestones, and escalations as needed Project ManagementManage design submittals during construction phases in coordination with contractors, external consultants, and internal teamsOversee the workflow of document controllers and audit deliverables Process ImprovementDrive process improvements related to cost, quality, and design duration metricsCollect feedback from construction and commissioning teams for continuous improvement Regional FlexibilityAdapt designs to meet the unique challenges of projects across different countries in Asia PacificAddress pre/post-construction permits and statutory approvals specific to each jurisdiction QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 8-10 years of experience in data center design or critical infrastructure systemsProven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agenciesExcellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement across diverse cultural contextsFamiliarity with sustainability practices in data center design is an advantage Skills RequiredLeadership and project management expertiseTechnical proficiency in data center infrastructure systems (mechanical, electrical, structural)Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outcomesEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
