Your role As an HR Generalist, based in Manila, you will play a key role in supporting both the people and workplace needs of the business. You’ll manage day-to-day HR operations, office administration, and employee engagement programs while ensuring compliance with Philippine labor laws. You will be a trusted partner to employees, managers, and vendors, providing guidance and creating a smooth experience across the entire employee lifecycle.
This position reports to our HR Manager, PHL, and has the opportunity to be based in our Manila Office. The candidate must be able to report on a hybrid work arrangement, at least 3 times per week or as needed, with flexibility to work full in-office depending on business needs. They must be available to work during US Pacific Time business hours (the night shift in the Philippines) and have the flexibility to accommodate interactions with team members based in different time zones across the APAC region as needed.
What you’ll do
Oversee daily office operations, including seat and office reservations, ingress/egress permits, and facility access.
Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor coordination to ensure smooth operations.
Liaise with building management and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Facilitate onboarding for new hires, including policy and benefits orientation and preparation of office access credentials.
Host candidates onsite when needed, ensuring a professional and positive candidate experience.
Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, DOLE reports, and company policies.
Administer government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and coordinate with payroll for timely processing.
Support employee relations by addressing concerns, escalating issues when necessary, and documenting disciplinary cases in compliance with due process.
Assist in employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and company events including training sessions and team-building activities.
Partner with managers on performance reviews and performance improvement plans.
Facilitate offboarding processes, including exit interviews, clearance processing, access recovery, and coordination of final pay release.
Skills you’ll bring
3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR operations role, preferably in a BPO, tech, or multinational company.
Solid understanding of Philippine labor laws, DOLE compliance, and statutory benefits.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage office operations, HR processes, and engagement activities simultaneously.
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees, managers, and vendors.
Experience using HRIS systems and proficiency with MS Office or Google Workspace.
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills with a balanced, employee-centric approach.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality in handling employee data and sensitive cases.
