The Site Reliability Intern implements developer tools or product features on a rapid-release cycle. You will work in an agile development methodology to conduct code reviews and unit tests, supporting infrastructure tooling and services in AWS under the guidance of a senior developer.What You'll DoImplement developer tools or product features under the direction of a senior developerImplement and support infrastructure tooling and services in AWSTrack job assignments and complete status updates using internal toolsWork in an Agile development methodology, attend standups, define user stories, and implement development tasksComplete code reviews and unit testsDevelop standards and procedures to maintain consistent practices for administration of production applications and systemsCollaborate and consult with development teams and support engineers to resolve critical issues and assist in design decisions and best practices regarding cloud technologiesWork with cloud vendors and external technical support on upgrades, problem resolution, and design issuesWhat You'll NeedMinimum QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a degree-seeking program, preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related programPreferred QualificationsPassion for writing software and learning the latest software development techniquesExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvementThe ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast-paced, rapidly changing environmentExceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlinesExperience with PythonExperience with Google App Engine, Google Compute Engine, or Amazon Web ServicesTravel Requirements & Working ConditionsMinimal travelReliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva officeSponsorship RequirementsMust be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the futureWhen can you expect to hear back?We are committed to attending all career fairs and recruitment events before closing our positions.
