Continually analyzes and implements new technology services available in the market to meet evolving business needs.ResponsibilitiesOutside plant vendor and project management and overall ownership as it relates to RFPs including tie cables and custom orders for IBIDsCapacity management of manholes, conduits, ducts and FE’s, as well as possession of supporting budgets and project plansManages the relationship with carriers for dark fiberAbility to perform fiber testing and troubleshooting via OTDR & OLTSOwnership and upkeep of underground diagrams (butterfly and/or dynamic charting) including campus, Metro Connect, and Fiber ConnectManhole, conduit, and duct ownership both on/off the propertyAbility to understand the public right of way and easement scenarios, as well as escalation paths to this effectPOC management for carrier owned pathways as it relates to long haul services and our metro connect products IBID management – capacity tracking, assignment, augments/new deployments Tier 2 support for fiber outagesCharacterizes dark fiber for NSE prior to putting equipment on itManages work visits in FE room and MHsManage relationship with our third-party trusted providersSubmit PO requests via SharePoint, which included the full RFP processProvides training to technicians and SEs on network productsTravel to sites as necessary Qualifications Bachelor’s or 3+ years’ experience working with OSP/ISP installations RCDD, RTPM, or CFOS/T certification preferred The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
