The successful applicant will be tasked with coordinating the maintenance and up keeping of all Data center infrastructure according to Equinix global standards. Given the nature of our existing team make-up and close location of our sites, we are considering candidates with a strong mechanical, electrical or controls background but ideally with exposure across all fields. All engineers are encouraged to work across Engineering functions where possible so applicants with a broad working background who collaborate with customers, vendors and colleagues will suit the role well. The role would suit an “all-rounder” who is confident and capable in all facets of our engineering scope. Experience and expertise with chiller plants will be highly regarded in this role, and there will be the chance to project manage small works in conjunction with cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills (particularly when speaking with onsite customers), attention to detail, engineering proficiency and a dedication to consistently achieving personal and team Equinix goals and a proven track record to work collaboratively or autonomously as the situation requires will be beneficial in your application. Key Responsibilities Provides the team with technical support and advice Acts as SME and provides training to team members where needed Breakdown and Repairs Management Maintenance Scheduling and Planned Preventative Maintenance Maintaining Security Policy and Procedures Reporting - Reviews specialist contractual reports and activities Assess Consistency to Policy - Ensures all repairs performed on all data center infrastructure are completed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and standard methodologies Problem Solving - root cause analysis and in the repair of failed components Teamwork -Liaises with regional construction or design teams on design changes Design - Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g., single power source) Qualifications, Skills and Attributes  Trade Certificate or Degree in related fields Willingness to work autonomously and unsupervised when required Ideally some data center or mission critical exposure and experience Confident working across all engineering disciplines Positive demeanor and outlook, enjoys working in a team environment Ability to attain and maintain NV1 security clearance Benefits of the role Salary package including annual bonus and health allowance, company shares Monday-Friday daytime role based at a static site! Limitless internal career progression opportunities within the business  Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
