As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.The Demand Planner is responsible for the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Governance for specific accounts within the region.  The role has many deliverables including timely forecast submission, forecast accuracy, channel inventory management, collaborative forecasting and monthly business reporting & analysis.  The Demand planner objectively and critically evaluates and challenges inputs to the demand planning process, performs ad-hoc analysis on trends and owns the forecast from creation to execution.  This individual is the main point of contact for our internal stakeholders including the GTM account sales managers, FP&A counterparts, the regional allocations manager and account fulfillment coordinators.  Additionally, this role owns the operational relationship with our external partners and is their main point of contact for operations and planning.  This role can be done from homeBuilding the world’s leading sound experience starts with the experience we provide for our people. Own the Local Channel Forecast Process from Creation to its Execution Reliably run a CPFR Process with our key Partners as input into the Forecasting Process.Prepare and submit monthly and weekly demand forecasts based on channel partner, local sales insights & Sonos driven activities with a focus on Sell In, Sell Thru and Revenue.  Responsible for the Local S&OP Governance (Monthly & Weekly S&OP Cycle).Local point of contact for sales, finance, allocations & fulfillment representing Operations.Responsible for the Monthly Business Review (MBR) Planning Package run with GTM & Finance. 2. Optimize Channel Inventory via a robust local allocation processMonitor and adjust Sell Thru/Sell In forecasts to optimize channel inventories.Interface with the Regional Allocation manager to resolve or highlight supply/demand related business risks & opportunities.Monitor, adjust and allocate (local) supplies to improve On Shelf Availability and Channel Inventory Metrics.  Develop allocation process relevant to local Go To Market setup.3. Local reporting Responsible for Operational KPI’s along with corrective action plans with a focus on Sell in and Sell Thru analytics.Consult with Sales leaders to develop and improve forecast reports that will assist them in the analysis of their business and decision making.Channel Data Quality Assurance.4. Locally drive Operations Projects and Process Improvements  Collaborate cross functionally to ensure a smooth and efficient execution of Regional to local projects and programs.Involved with the development and implementation of Demand Planning Processes & Toolsets / metrics for local use.   Build, manage and refine Excel and other software reporting tools such as Microstrategy, Tableau and Google Sheets.What You’ll NeedResearch shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria. If you don’t have 100% of the skills listed, we strongly encourage you to apply if interested.Basic Qualifications3+ years of demand planning experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.BA/BS degree in the field of Supply Chain/Operations, Economics, Finance, Business Management or relative industry experience.Preferred QualificationsStrong communication skills, coupled with the ability to articulate complex situations into a simple conversation.Experience working with top tier retailers to create a comprehensive sales plan.  Knowledge of Integrated Business Planning and S&OP process and governance.Fluency with Microsoft Excel and or Google Sheets, experience working with Anaplan a plus.Strong business acumen and proven ability to act as trusted advisor to business partners including cross functional Senior Leadership. Ability to articulate and navigate relationships with people at all levels of an organization across multiple functions.Curious lateral thinker able to see and understand the big picture while willing and able to deep dive to understand trends to formulate insights.   Ability to be a team player and work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while ensuring the planning team crosses the finish line together.Self-starter who demonstrates high energy/creativity, a customer-focused approach and interest in developing a deep understanding of the business.#LI-RemoteAt Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead  individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience.  All full time employees are eligible for merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and equity.  Our job postings may span more than one career level and the base pay range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions.
