Professional Services Technical ConsultantDescription -Professional Services at HP is seeking a Professional Services Technical Consultant with a passion for customers & technology and a strong desire to make an impact. This highly technical subject matter expert (SME) role includes creating technical designs based on customer or internal requirements, as-built documents, complex diagrams, work breakdown structures, rough order of magnitudes, statements of work, scoping the work, performing proof of concepts & implementing the modern workplace technologies hands-on for customers directly and conducting workshops, and assessments, preparing deliverables and enabling technical solutions.The position will primarily be customer-facing working with key HP customers. It requires a balance of technical and project management acumen to implement and manage projects across a range of HP Technologies and Services. The Technical Consultant will also be responsible for managing risk and cost across the deployment of HP Professional Services Engagements.Responsibilities: Hands-on SME designing, implementing, managing & administrating modern workplace technologies with proven success in creating detailed technical designs and performing successful customer implementations using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft 365, Office 365, OneDrive for Business, Windows Hello for Business, Azure AD, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, BitLocker, WUfB, Always on VPNs, Hybrid vs Cloud native, Win32 applications, PowerShell scripting, Group Policies to Microsoft Intune mapping/migrations.SME working with on-premises legacy management and the paths and technologies to modern management.Hands-on experience with Windows 10 & 11+ lifecycle managementHands-on experience with MECM (SCCM), Co-management & CMG, Group Tags, RBAC, and Scope Tags.Hands-on experience working with and understanding legacy Microsoft technologies.Define user requirements, create detailed specifications, create use cases, conduct POCs & develop usability test plans.Create and perform proof of concepts using Microsoft's modern workplace technologies and other technologies, products, services, software, or automation.Comfortable with leading Pre-Sales, sales & customer-focused conversations as they relate to the Modern Workplaces using Microsoft technologies.Lead customer engagements, conducting a range of offerings including diligence and discovery sessions, building technical designs, and preparing architecture.Lead cross-functional teams to include technical management of client staff assigned to the technical implementation team in the completion of one or more solution requirements, architecture, or technical implementation deliverables.Actively participates in HP professions program and Practice Improvement activities.Create, edit, modify & conduct complex and detailed workshops that are customer and public facing as well as internal. Create, edit, modify & fill in workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, level of effort, work breakdown structures, sales proposals, and rough order of magnitude pricing.Supports knowledge sharing and the re-use of technical assets and deliverables within practice or profession.Proactively encourages Membership and contributions of others to the professional community.Provides council and mentoring to team members and extends teamwork beyond projects to practices and cross-GBUs. Maintains a network of customers at senior levels and revisits them regularly.Knowledge and Skills: Holds a vendor or industry certification in more than one discipline area, e.g. (Microsoft Certifications and/or a PMP)Recognized as an advanced subject matter expert (SME) in end-user computing, endpoint engineering environments, modern workplaces, services, applied technologies, and processes, combining vendor interoperability knowledge of complex IT infrastructures.Subject matter expert on modern workplace technologies using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft 365, Office 365, OneDrive for business, Windows Hello for Business, Azure AD, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, BitLocker, Always on VPNs, Hybrid vs Cloud native & legacy management to modern management.Experience with SCEP, PKCS & Microsoft PKI certificates.Mobile device management for Android, iOS/iPadOS is a plus.Experience with Apple Business Manager, Google Zero-touch, or Samsung Knox is a plus.Experience with PowerShell scripts.Linux/Chrome OS/MacOS/Workspace One management experience is a plus.Demonstrated ability to develop reusable solutions and workarounds that are innovative and show a deep technical knowledge of the products, processes, and customer environments.Proven experience collaborating with customer resources at a technical, management, and executive level.Has demonstrated innovation and ability to communicate new offerings across multiple business units.Demonstrates the ability to represent the whole organization within a customer sales presentation, conveying the benefits of working with the business. Ability to lead the production of proposals, working across various departments, for complex customer solutions.Able to lead, coach, and mentor others in consulting & project management skills.Demonstrates ability to develop and win new opportunities through the application of consulting skills. Maintains and develops strategic client engagements.Ability to relate risks and challenges with other client efforts.Ability to develop detailed complex project plans, level of efforts, and work breakdown structures.Ability to develop Architecture Specification deliverables that map customer business requirements to technologies while, capturing relevant technical criteria, creating workshops, workshop questions, presentations, workbooks, detailed and complex design documents, design drawings, Microsoft Project templates, and RACIs along with other supporting documentation & process creation.Determine and define project scope and objectives.Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources effectively and efficiently.Prepare and track budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements.Provide project updates consistently to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.Education and Experience Required: 8+ years of professional experience and a Master of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a master’s degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (11+ years in total)Job -ServicesSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United Kingdom)Travel -25%Relocation -NoEEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
