Print Software Program ManagerDescription -The Print Software Technical Program Management Office (TPMO) is looking for a strong candidate to drive strategic programs across our organization. The candidate will be responsible for managing Program Releases, monitoring progress against milestones, managing escalations, and providing concise updates to senior leadership.Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.Responsibilities: Provide a balanced perspective of program progress to ensure predictability and communication of potential delays early enough to address without impacting overalls schedule. Manage Program feature requirements from definition to deliveryFacilitate prioritization discussions with Product Management and key stakeholdersWork with Software Asset team leads to escalate issues as needed; Understand the technical situation enough to clearly explain the trade off options to senior leadersUtilize Jira to track critical path, dependencies, and overall program progressManages and leads a program involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a product or service offering.Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedulesDrives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the manufacturing and/or engineering organization.Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.PMP/PMI certification preferred.Typically 6-10 years experience.Knowledge and Skills: Experience with Software Development Lifecycle from requirements definition through launch to production and monitoringFamiliarity with NPI development lifecycleExtensive experience with using project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Experience with Software Development LifecycleFluent with development tools such as Jira, LookerDemonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local languageAbility to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurance Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $118,050 -- $181,800 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
