Come to HP and thrive!About the position:HP Workforce Solutions (HPWS) is a new global business unit that brings together all commercial services teams across HP with a goal of providing a comprehensive portfolio of services and solutions to our enterprise, mid-market, and in partnership with our strategic channel partners, to the SMB segment. Our passion for our customers and our employees is our differentiation.A critical part of any Services business is the establishment and ongoing successful management of strategic partners across the value chain, from service innovation to sales to delivery and operations. The Sr. Director of HPWS Alliances will be responsible for driving the development, execution, and management of strategic partnerships for the organization. You will work across the HPWS divisions to identify, qualify, and manage commercial relationships with key partners globally. Your primary focus will be to identify, establish, and nurture relationships with key service providers, technology vendors, and other strategic partners to enhance the organization's capabilities, expand market reach, and drive revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, sales, marketing, product, and portfolio teams, to develop and execute alliance strategies that align with the organization's business objectives. You will also work closely with the HPWS VP of Strategy and the broader HP Strategy team to drive alignment between alliance strategies and the company strategy.This critical role will report to the SVP of Portfolio and Market Enablement, our singular horizontal leadership team that spans the multiple HPWS divisions.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Alliance Development: Identify and evaluate potential strategic partners and alliances that align with HPWS strategic goals and complement our portfolio of software, services, and capabilities. Lead the process of establishing and nurturing strategic relationships, including contract negotiations, partnership agreements, and joint go-to-market plans.Alliance Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive alliance strategy that defines our approach to partnerships, including target segments, value proposition, and key success metrics. Collaborate with executive leadership to align the alliance strategy with the overall business strategy and objectives. Identify and prioritize partnership opportunities based on market potential, customer needs, and organizational capabilities.Partner Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners, serving as the main point of contact and fostering collaboration and mutual success. Engage with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams, to align alliance activities with business objectives and ensure effective collaboration. Facilitate regular meetings, joint planning sessions, and executive-level engagements with strategic partners to drive alignment and execution.Business Development: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop joint value propositions, sales enablement materials, and go-to-market strategies for alliance offerings. Drive revenue growth through the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities with strategic partners. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to alliance performance, revenue generation, and market penetration, taking proactive measures to optimize results.Partnership Negotiation and Management: Lead partnership negotiations with strategic partners, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions that protect HP’s interests. Collaborate with legal, procurement, and finance teams to review and finalize partnership agreements, service-level agreements (SLAs), and other contractual documents. Monitor and manage ongoing contractual obligations and ensure compliance with established partnership agreements.ExperienceTypically, 15+ years’ experience in IT technology or services industry alliances management and business development responsibilities in a global software or services company. Extensive business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more engineering, technology, and product domains.Proven ability to lead and influence in a complex, highly matrixed, global company.Experience managing large global teams and conducting business internationally; ability to recognize and leverage local cultures and capabilities to drive innovation in thinking and collaboration across a large, diverse team.Executive presence and effective communication skills; ability to influence executives across HPWS and HP; ability to build consensus across the organization to make things happen.Track record of building high performance teams.
