ABOUT SEMPRE
Sempre is the only medication affordability solution that aligns patients, health plans, and patients with its two-sided marketplace and behavioral economics-based dynamic discounts, combined with SMS. Patients receive texts like, "If you pick up your medication by Sunday you'll pay $20. If you wait until next week, this goes up to $25." Our integrations with the pharmacy switch ensure that wherever our patients fill, they get our discounts, seamlessly at the point-of-sale. Sempre has patients in all 50 states across multiple chronic disease states, and we’re proud of our 15%+ improvement in adherence, 45%+ reduction in patient out-of-pocket costs, and 95 NPS.
Sempre works with leading national health plans as well as some of the largest pharmaceutical companies. We have raised capital from leading investors, such as Social Capital, Rethink Impact, and Blue Venture Fund, which represents the 35 Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans across the country.
THE ROLE
As the Head of Product, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Sempre’s product offerings. Reporting to our CTO and Co-Founder, you will oversee the product org and partner with cross-functional teams to define, communicate, and execute the product strategy. Your expertise in data-heavy applications and your ability to bridge the gap between engineering, operations, and business development will be crucial to your success in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Strategy: Develop and align the product strategy with Sempre's overall vision, focusing on enhancing patient experiences and delivering unique value to health plans and pharmaceutical partners. Work closely with Business Development, Engineering, and Executive leadership to create tailored versions of the Sempre experience that exceed partner expectations.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Communication: Act as a bridge between various teams within Sempre, including engineering, operations, and business development, to ensure that product development is aligned with business objectives, technical feasibility, and operational needs. Effectively communicate the product strategy throughout the organization.
Product Planning and Roadmap Development: Create a comprehensive product roadmap by understanding the needs of internal and external customers. Establish project prioritization frameworks and mechanisms for sourcing projects, ensuring clear documentation for product functionality and specifications.
Project Management and Support for Technical Product Development: Oversee the team responsible for building and releasing products in iterative cycles. Collaborate with engineering on feature specifications, validate releases through user testing and feedback loops, and support continuous product improvement.
Project Management, Execution, and Support for Non-technical Product Development: Coordinate and implement non-engineering product changes, such as updates to patient experiences and workflows, SMS messaging, and more.
Product Launch and Iteration: Lead the team responsible for product launches, working closely with Business Development and patient success teams. Continuously monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and maintain clear and effective product documentation.
Metrics and Analytics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of Sempre's programs and products. Ensure that necessary metrics are in place to measure the impact of program and product improvements.
