Software Intern, AI Backend Infrastructure GT

We are looking for Software Engineering Intern for AI Backend Infrastructure in Autonomous Vehicles Driving group. NVIDIA is playing a significant role in AI and Autonomous Vehicles industry with its powerful GPU products, high-performance DRIVE platform and a large eco-system of partners. We collaborate with multiple teams and focus on Ground Truth Generation in software engineering including data processing pipelines and deployment. Our work will be fun and very exciting, and have a huge impact in cars worldwide. As a member of AV org, you will help build ground-breaking software features and make it work at scale!What you’ll be doing:Design, build, and maintain scalable modular software modules for labeling applications backend that run efficiently in the cloud.Define project goals, critical metrics and work with a focus on results, in a multi-functional org.Work closely with Ground Truth as a Service team, Data Operations team, and other AI infrastructure engineers to accelerate and optimize the AV Backend Infrastructure development and deployment, and achieve the high quality and reliability of AV Ground Truth in NVIDIA Drive products.What We Need to See:BS or MS candidate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or related majors.Excellent programming and testing skills in Golang, Java, C#, C++ or similar compiled languages.Good understanding of software system design, system architecture, CPU/GPU/Memory/Storage, everything related to performance optimization.Knowledge of relational database systems like MySQL, Postgres, or similar relational databases.Fluent in both oral and written English.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Experience in building e2e software stacks.Experience in automotive vehicle or robotic system building.Previous experience with developing cloud-based distributed software modules.Knowledge of streaming open source software like Kafka.Attention to detail, strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
