We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job SummaryThe Physical Security Enablement Manager uses wide-ranged advanced experience to manage security enablement projects and utilizes business security expertise to determine methods and processes on new procedures for complex Data Center security issues.ResponsibilitiesProcessesManages physical security and business continuity process rollouts for sites/countries within a complex scopeUses wide-ranged advanced experience in managing cross-functional process rolloutsManages cross-functional teams and process rollout within the Data Center, and refines the development and definition of security and business processes in the Data Center, recommends/proposes solutions for systematic process-related complex problemsDetermines methods and procedures for continuous improvement and supports implementation of changes and assists with process and maintenance adherence Project ManagementManages security directs and sub-directs who coordinate the completion of security projects, deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors progress of complex projectsProvides feedback and leads process improvement and efficiency projectsManages multiple tasks within cross-functional project teamsSupports and provides input/guidance on design engineering and project planning on new and expansion of Data CentersData Center EnablementSets key performance indicator goals at a regional level and oversees regional Operations Security teamsAssists in the department budget, and assist with setting Data Center budgetsManages security vendors to support guarding, hardware installation, upgrades, configurations, repair and maintenanceTrainingResponsible for advanced training content and materials and training programsMonitors training plans and performance to ensure that plans are on track and performance is met, with regular reviewUses advanced industry knowledge to provide recommendations for the teamSystems SupportPossesses expert knowledge of security systems to resolve complex issuesDevelops methods to minimize issues and makes recommendations for new installation procedures and systemsProvides process and system leadership to Data Center Operations and system administrators who install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the security systems for the organizationCoordinates and manages Single Point of Failure (SPOF) and End of Life (EOL) reviews, including performing site physicals, assessments and remediationResponsible for vendor and manufacture escalation of systems errors and failuresDesign EngineeringImplements both existing and new design methods and standards for new Data Center design engineering effortsLeads and provides guidance to other employees within the job familyRecommends alterations to design, development, implementation and analysis to improve quality of products, new technologies, procedures and/or efficienciesProvides drawing reviews of both internal and cross-functional designsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Management, Business, or a related discipline a preferred7+ years’ experience preferredCertification with a major security system manufacturer preferredEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
