If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Experienced Software Engineer for Frontend and CLI Note: This is an on-site position (note remote) located in Durham, NC or Prague, CZ.Job Description: We are looking for an experienced software engineer in either Durham, NC or Prague, CZ.  This person will be the primary owner for the frontend of an emerging DevOps product within Broadcom’s Mainframe Software Division.  This product enables unit testing of COBOL applications and provides capability to record program execution.In this role, you will work to extend the product capability within VSCode to enhance our CLI and also produce visual reports that customers may consume to understand their code coverage metrics as part of their unit testing.   Excellent organization and problem-solving skills are a must. Your ability to adapt with changing priorities is an important strength.  The individual and team goal will be to maintain high-quality software aligned with user needs and business objectives.***Note – This is an in-office position (5 days/week) located in Durham, NC or Prague, CZ.Being able to work on mission critical, high importance software is a must. Mainframe literally runs the world’s economy.Responsibilities Develop world class enhancements to the product CLIAbility to understand customer needs to design and develop consumable product features; including reports that can be used for code coverage metricsNavigate customer relationships and be ready to directly interact with clients and customers for pre and post sale activitiesActively support and contribute to end of iteration demosMentor, train, develop and serve as a knowledge resource for less experienced Software EngineersRequired Technical and Professional Expertise Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer EngineeringIn-depth expertise with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript12+ years of experience as a software engineer  Experience in Agile DevelopmentFamiliarity with VSCode development environmentExperience with CI/CD pipelines setup, build configuration, with unit testing and test automation.Recommended/Useful Skills:Knowledge and experience with the Mainframe environment (ISPF, CICS, IMS, IDMS)Knowledge of Source Code Control Systems such as Endevor and GithubFamiliarity with Rally or any formal project tracking toolsetAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $111,000  - $185,000 This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
