The Publish Persistence Team is building the next generation of Cloud Native Storage for AEM Cloud Service, aiming for delivering stunning experiences for our customers by ensuring (eventual) consistency, durability, and low latency for content delivery in a distributed environment.We are looking for a forward-thinking mind who is passionate about pushing the limit of the current storage technology to support bigger customers, higher traffic, and more and more complex access patterns. This research project is an opportunity to explore optimizations and new approaches for the underlying storage technology based on an immutable log of content change, working with product teams on high profile features and innovations delivering value to our customers.What you’ll do:Work on a Proof-of-Concept to demonstrate feasibility and potential benefits.Iterate on the problem space, identify technical solutions, and discuss them with the team members, considering functional and technical requirements.Implement the solution, lead the test-plan and roll-out procedure.Execute performance benchmark, propose, and document further improvements.Work on technologies such as Kubernetes, Azure, Apache Oak, and learn about concepts such as immutable log, event vs batch processing.Collaborate with outstanding researchers, engineers and innovators.What you’ll need to succeed: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related areaConfirmed programming skills in Java, distributed systems, and event-driven architectureKnowledge and experience with cloud-based services and cloud native technologiesAbility to abstract concepts and provide generic solutionsMeticulous and able to implement optimized, modular and asynchronous solutionsComfortable in collaborating with co-located and distributed development teamsProficiency in EnglishAs our many awards will tell you, at Adobe you’ll be immersed in an exceptional work environment that is recognized around the world.
