Your potential is waiting; why are you?The Business Security Analyst will facilitate the remediation of cybersecurity risks and defects throughout the organization.You will partner with security leadership, technology owners and development teams across multiple organizational units and geographic regions in providing strategic, yet practical vulnerability remediation guidance.As a part of this role, you will be required to communicate the possible business impact and importance of security defects clearly and effectively, while closely following the defined risk and vulnerability management processes.ResponsibilitiesFacilitate the resolution of cybersecurity risks and defects through timely and responsive communication with the organizationAnalyze vulnerability scan results to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity, potential impact, and likelihood of exploitationProvide risk management support to defect remediation ownersCoordinate penetration testing and security assessments to validate the effectiveness of vulnerability management and remediation effortsCommunicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersActively participate in risk steering calls, incident response activities, and process improvement initiativesQualificationsMinimum 5 years’ experience in an Information Security, Risk Management, or Information Technology fieldBroad knowledge of information security threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities with proven ability to understand and communicate security issues from both a technical and business mindset Familiarity with security defect data sources such as security scanning resources (e.g. Nessus, Qualys), penetration testing, vulnerability databases (e.g. CVE) and auditsBroad knowledge of various operating systems, platforms, network protocols, and security technologiesThorough analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal characteristicsHighly responsive, process-oriented, and proactiveExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyEthical character with ability to keep information confidentialPassionate about cybersecurity, a desire to support and help people; positive attitude and enjoys constantly learningWilling to respond to emergency situations off-hoursApplicants for employment must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.#LI-RemoteIf a Genesys employee referred you, please use the link they sent you to apply.About Genesys:Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
