Camera Engineer for Personal Systems/HWHXDescription -Applies basic foundation of a function's principles, theories and concepts to assignments of limited scope. Uses professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters.Responsibilities: Conduct objective and perceptual(subjective) image quality assessment of camera module prototypes and camera products, including MTF, exposure, dynamic range, color, AWB, noise, and distortion.Process and analyze image quality data to evaluate performance vs. product requirements, service provider specifications, and competitive benchmarks.  Prepare reports of assessment.Work closely with colleagues on camera engineering team to improve camera design, complete root-cause analysis of image quality issues, and drive new product development.Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.Typically 0-2 years experience. Preference given to candidates who have coursework, lab projects, internship or similar direct experience with cameras or image quality testing.Knowledge and Skills: Experience or understanding of image quality evaluation including one or more of the following: MTF/SFR testing, camera color balance/colorimetry measurements, dynamic range or image noise measurements.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills are required.
