We provide 10,000+ customers across almost every industry access to 2,000+ network services, 3000+ cloud and IT services, 450+ content and digital media services, and 4,700+ enterprises.     An internship with Equinix means you will collaborate on work that impacts the world and be surrounded by endless opportunities to learn new skills and grow in varied directions. If you’re a forward-thinking, hard-working college student who loves to learn and wants to make a positive impact on the world while growing your career, join us and help shape the digital world.    Team and Role: The Tax Department manages Equinix's global tax issues and income tax accounting for financial statement purposes, as well as tax compliance (filing) requirements.  The team is responsible for all indirect tax matters in EMEA, indirect tax compliance, supporting indirect tax audits, providing indirect tax advice to the business, participating to indirect tax reporting automation projects, M&A and other tax or finance related projects for indirect tax related aspects  As an intern in Tax Department you will get the opportunity to work with a Global Team gaining exposure to different Tax policies and practices across the world. In this team you will get the opportunity to contribute towards areas such as: preparation of tax returns and work papers with minimal supervision and provides assistance to other team members on various projects.  Assignments and Responsibilities: Supporting the coordination of:Risk Management - Works under the supervision to assist in managing indirect taxes of the Region Strategy and Planning - Researches and analyzes various tax issues as requested Tax Returns - Prepares accurate tax returns and work papers of the Region, Provides audit support in tax examinations, including indirect taxes, Updates and maintains tax notices and tax payments/refunds status Forecasting - Collaborates with FP&A and Treasury group to prepare and review Indirect tax cash forecast Tax Accounting - Work with GL team to prepare accurate Indirect tax reconciliations of BS GL accounts, Work with Revenue team to prepare accurate Indirect tax reconciliations of revenue GL accounts Business Development - Develops and maintains relationships with business partners Continued Education - Continues to develop and apply technical expertise's and stay current on tax issues  Why Join Equinix?  We pride ourselves on our Global Program being an immersive and impactful experience designed to kick start your corporate career and set you up for future success.   Work on real business challenges: You will be assigned with a project and work directly with teams to gain real-work experience, contribute to the business, and impact the digital world.   Be supported throughout your journey: You will be mentored and coached by numerous colleagues, including your managers, subject experts, an assigned buddy and a formal mentor.  Participate in a curated program of workshops and events: Learn from our leaders through our Executive Speaker Series, continue to grow through our workshops and build meaningful worldwide connections through our networking events.   Gain global recognition: We celebrate your time with Equinix and the work you have completed through our Global Ideas Competition “Shark Tank.” This competition provides you with the recognition you deserve and lets you share your work with the global community of Equinix.  ​ Joining our internship program means you will have a chance to secure a future role at Equinix when you graduate!     Who You Are (Requirements and Qualifications):  Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor’s or master’s degree studies (Graduation between December 2024-September 2025). Available to work full-time for the entire duration of the Summer Internship Program (between July to September, depending on your school system) .   Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment .   Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business proficiency in English .  Analytically driven and detail-oriented, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Excel proficiency- Formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, data migration​) and aptitude to learn new tools.  Must have a general interest in the functionality of corporate finance- general accounting, corporate finance, financial risk, taxes etc. Demonstrate end-to-end, solutions-oriented thinking to drive team/project forward that will increase efficiency, productivity or quality of solutions  How to Apply  Please submit your application by providing the following: Up to date resume that includes your availability (start and end date) and expected graduation. Please apply to this job posting only if you are available full time for an internship during the stated period.    What’s next  The Equinix New to Career team will be reviewing applicants on a rolling basis throughout October and November and will reach out to applicants accordingly.
